Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, the game's first expansion, is out on the 8th October — and so it's no surprise to see Blizzard bring some news to Gamescom Opening Night Live. In case you haven't heard, a selection of 'Mercenaries' are being added via the DLC — CPU-controlled companion characters who'll fight by your side.
The new trailer introduces four allies, each of them with their own fighting styles and skills. They'll apparently level up alongside you, and you'll even be able to customise their behaviour so that their abilities dovetail with your own.

The developer's also shed a little more light on the so-called Dark Citadel — an endgame component that sees players team up in order to tackle a particularly dangerous dungeon. It'll apparently "put everything you know about combat to the test through a series of cooperative puzzles and mechanics".

I'm sure someone cares about this.
I'm. Excited for the expansion.
@Enuo
Highly doubt it, game's been trash since the first patch that added Seasonal BS to the game....
I know of literally ZERO people who play this....
@KennethKoerperich88 laughable. If your closest friends doesnt play, doesnt mean it is all world.
I have crossed 700h in Diablo 4. I know many players who are playing this.
It seems so funny when people who dont care about game are opening that game news and even commenting If I dont like some games I dont even bother to read news about that game )
I might be one of the "few" that still plays D4 every season (at least according to a vocal minority stating that this game is "insert_random_word"). I am looking forward for the expansion. While I was expecting a different class (paladin/crusader) and the new class looks a bit too much to the monk from D3 (my least favorite class), the companions addition looks good, the new story looks also good (enjoyed Mephisto during the main campain) and the itemization right now is in a very good state (could be better, we will see).

@KennethKoerperich88 Yeah ofcourse, its thrash. You are completely right. I don't know how I could live till this message.
You are pathetic rude man in this world. There are hundreds/thousands of games in world, why would you expect that you have the best taste in gaming. Why you consider you are right here? Lower your ego little bit. It is okay to not like game, but you are spending your time to rant in comments about game you don't like. You have $%^& load of free time to waste it like that.
