Good news, everyone: Tales of Graces f Remastered won't be following in the very disappointing footsteps of Tales of Symphonia Remastered. That is to say, it'll be a 60 frames-per-second revival on PS5 and PS4 — something that Symphonia's re-release couldn't manage on Sony's last-gen console, or the PS5 when played via backwards compatibility.
The confirmation of 60fps comes from Bandai Namco's own Q&A on the newly announced remaster. On PS5, it's 60fps at 4K resolution — which is what you'd expect from a remastered PS3 title. On PS4 Pro, it's 60fps at 1440p, and on the base PS4, it's 60fps at 1080p. Good stuff.
Indeed, a smoother frame rate is especially nice to have when a game is built around action combat, and Tales of Graces f has plenty of that. The title's fast-flowing, combo-based system is a highlight of the experience.
Are you glad to hear that Tales of Graces f Remastered isn't skimping on performance? Don't drop that combo in the comments section below.

Thank u Mr.char for this lovely info 😉
It's been over a decade since I played this but I could've sworn it already ran at 60 FPS back on PS3. It's just that it was only in battles and skits and even then, there we're some stuttering issues here and there.
This is one of the worst tales of games for me, so i won't be getting it either way.
Sad to see Abyss shafted again.
@guestwork Sadly the original frame rate isn't a guarantee. Both the recent Paper Mario and Chrono Cross remasters ran at lower rates than their originals.
@Melee_Ace Didn't Chrono Cross remastered get it's performance updated a year ago? Even on Switch

Trails of Graces F? Is this the continuation after Trails of Daybreak 3: Farewell Zemuria?
@guestwork Yes, but my point is that we shouldn't assume a remaster will match or exceed the original's frame rate, even if it seems very reasonable to assume so.
That's wassup.
Hopefully physical editions make their way. All these JRPG'S are amazing and hurting my wallet too ðŸ˜
Thank you. I did get worried. Not anymore.
Trails of Grace? Looool
I believe Graces F for PS3 already 60 fps when in combat. So it doesn't makes sense if this remastered has lower frame rate. Although Bamco did a really lazy effort with Symphonia PS3 and PS4 remastered.
Dammit..... Tales of the abyss namcobandai make it happen
I hope they'll bring Xillia 1 and 2, along with Abyss.
Something to keep the FPS whiners at bay. I'm sure they will find something else to whinge about, like a blade of grass mixing a pixel.
How very graceful. This makes me slightly more happy than I already was^^
@JohnnyShoulder
I am sure you wouldnt call people 'fps whiners' if you were so affected by this problem that you couldnt play any game thats framerate fell much bellow 60, or had too many frame pacing issues.
Where playing said games, would give you a headache, or make you feel sick, and where you could not 'just get used to it' no matter how long you played.
But then the issues i and others have, have got progressively worse over time with newer TVs, and perhaps even age, more detailed / faster moving images, or too long playing 60fps games, being seemingly big factors; so maybe in a few years time you will be able to experience it first hand.
Then you can enjoy being told by people that just because they do not have the capability to see any difference above 40fps means that you can't either, when you know full well that you can see approx 5fps changes all the way up to 90fps (or higher in some cases).
Hopefully, by then, more people will be educated as to how different people are in this regard.
Granted, not everyone feels unwell, and performance issues just completely ruin the experience so it feels like good money wasted.
60fps should be a bare minimum on PS5.
I already played this on PS3. But wish they ported it on PS4 from the start, including xilia.
