While The Witcher trilogy has primarily followed the adventures of Geralt of Rivia, all of that will change in the next entry in CD Projekt Red series', colloquially known as The Witcher 4. However, this transition will be eased by one Doug Cockle, the voice actor responsible for bringing Geralt to life, who has confirmed the White Wolf will be "part of the [next] game" but that the storyline isn't "about him this time".
That's according to a new video from Fall Damage in which Cockle attempts to recall some of Geralt's more memorable Geralt-isms (thanks, PC Gamer). The Witcher 3 was billed as being the end of the Butcher of Blavikens saga, but it seems the old dog has at least one more trick up his sleeve, as Cockle teased:
"Witcher 4 has been announced. I can't say anything about it. What we know is that Geralt will be part of the game; we just don't know how much, and the game won't focus on Geralt. So it's not about him this time. We don't know who it's about. I'm excited to find out. I want to know! I have not seen any script yet—I mean, I couldn't tell you if I did. This is the thing, so I could be lying through my teeth. But I'm not. Or am I?"
