Following up on yesterday's news about new titles based on the Halloween movie series, developer Boss Team Games has now also announced two more games. In collaboration with WayForward, RetroRealms is a series of 2D, 16-bit style action platformers, and the announced pair are based on Halloween and Ash vs. Evil Dead.
You can check out both games in the above trailer. In RetroRealms: Halloween, you'll play as Michael Myers as he goes on a bloody, pixelated rampage. Meanwhile, RetroRealms: Ash vs. Evil Dead has you controlling titular character Ash Williams as he fights off supernatural forces. Interestingly, if you buy both games, there will be some crossover content; the trailer shows the protagonists of each game having swapped environments.
Both games are coming to PS5 and PS4 on 18th October, 2024. You'll be able to buy them separately on PS Store for $24.99 each, or there will be a physical edition bundling both titles together for $49.99. If you pre-order, you'll gain access to a new DLC character in each game; Laurie Strode in RetroRealms: Halloween and Kelly Maxwell in RetroRealms: Ash vs. Evil Dead.
What do you make of this RetroRealms duo? Are you excited for these horror action platformers? Tell us in the comments section below.

This is awesome! I wish they would do this with more horror IPs.
Instant buy for both. What a great idea
Both look cool but I personally have zero interest in another platformer currently. Maybe in October I’ll feel different though
All in for the Halloween one, Just the ticket for spoopy season!
It says pre-order now, but I can't find it in the store
I prefer the evil dead game (wish the other game is splatter house instead) but both game look good 😃
Nice, that’s something I didn’t know I wanted lol

Might have to get these especially with it been way forward shantae games were ace 😎
Will definitely play the Evil Dead game. No desire to be Michael Myers though lol
I’ll be buying both of these games day one. They are two of my favorite franchises, and they actually look pretty solid.
These look fantastic. Really looking forward to both games - dripping with atmosphere and look really fun to play!
Anything that isn't an asymmetrical multiplayer game!
