Here's Your First Look at Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Chaotic Competitive PS5, PS4 Multiplayer

Why do they show all this cinematic stuff for the multi-player review when it's not even close to how multi-player looks?!

We all know it looks like people running 2 steps, scoping, running 2 steps, scoping, run 2 steps, scoping. Jumping a few times. Scoping.

Basically, triggering epilepsy as much as possible.

@GamingFan4Lyf Seriously. These are just as bad as cinematic cutscenes that show stuff that can never happen in-game.

No COD match has ever remotely resembled its hype trailer. Ever.

This all looks okay until you play for real and get murdered by Snoop Dogg or Shredder or Homelander in a puff of marijuana smoke and obnoxious visual effects.

Also, why TF would I want to play a game where people can seemingly swim like dolphins and dive out of the air like gotdamm Flipper?!

"Omni-movement" lol. They are scraping the bottom of the barrel. My goodness.

It's nice to see they have 16 new maps. But the map pool will be immediately diluted/ruined when DLC maps rehash yet more "classic" maps that have been in every game for over a decade.

@MFTWrecks I also find it hilarious when storyline and lore is attached to "Seasons" and there are actual trailers created for it.

I can guarantee you that none of the people main people playing care one bit. It just feels like extra advertising that isn't necessary.

This article is guilty of overselling the game. There is no way to know if this is a return to form, form being what CoD was before microtransactions. Have we not learnt to temper the hype over this game considering how often it falls short of its former greatness? Titanfall 2 is still better than every CoD since original MW2. This new CoD looks like its still trying to catch up. It looks nice, but there's no where near enough in the vid to give it a glowing write-up gameplaywise.

Outside of slaughtering The Prodigy and Keith (RIP) with whatever crap remix/remake that was ... with all the ridiculous movement already in CoD this new Omnimovement is going to make this super sweaty. I think I'm passing.

This looks good. I will not be playing it (not anytime soon anyway).

The geometrical details of the level are fairly low. Look at these buildings made of cubical primitives, it looks like a 20 years old FPS.

Another call of duty game I'll pass on. The game really needs a new direction and a new engine. It also needs to be a smaller...much smaller install size as well. The only part of this I'll maybe consider is the inevitable warzone upgrade as that's free.

@Northern_munkey i actually miss the old COD engine from Blacks Ops 4 and back. ever since mw 2019 they’ve been using a battlefield-like engine that feels like a shooter simulator and more realistic which is trash imo . if i wanted that id just play battle field

and they’ve tried new directions before but people didn’t like it , black ops 3 is one of the best CODs but let fanboys tell you - it’s one of the worst because wall running and jetpacks smh

@nomither6 call of duty uses the same old source engine it just heavily mods it with each iteration. It's why it never really improves that much visually. I understand why they use it as it performs pretty much flawlessly and maintains a rock solid 60fps. I'd like a call of duty game to have the same level of destruction the battlefield games have particularly bad company 2. My favourite mp mode was invasion and the other one that was like conquest. I think I'm pretty much done with cod until they really do something innovative with the franchise.

@Northern_munkey haven’t played in a few years but I played the 2019 one and first multiplayer match I was called a particularly disgusting racial slur (for a race of which I am not) and just muted all matches from that point on.

@IamJT next to gta online it's one of the more disgusting community's online..not everybody is (there are some sound people on there) but the majority are horrible little beasties..

@Northern_munkey I had kid saying that he would fake report me for being racist and he hoped my complete family would die of cancer that last one hit hard and made stop playing LOL.

@Flaming_Kaiser I'm not easily offended but racism and cancer jibes are bang out of order. I can live with threats of violence (anybody who's met me know that it's only ever going one way) but wishing cancer on somebody is just so wrong. I was accused of being racist at work many moons ago and I just showed them a photo of my mixed race wife and they back tracked so fast they almost broke the space time continuem..God bless the tinterweb for giving those toxic trolls a voice..

@Northern_munkey My dad and mom said it you should wish nobody to get any disease its just wrong. That's why with multiplayer I keep my microphone off and i stay of the chat. Even if you play non ranked or just a free match people get so toxic.
