The next PS5 title confirmed to be appearing during Gamescom Opening Night Live later this month is the RPG follow-up Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Geoff Keighley has revealed Warhorse Studios will be bringing fresh gameplay to the German stage on 20th August 2024, starting at 7pm BST / 11am PT / 2pm ET. Given the fact the game is still supposed to release this year, there's a good chance the latest look will be accompanied by a release date.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is the second game confirmed for the show, with Civilization VII also getting a gameplay reveal as part of the proceedings. It's known that other media outlets visited the Czech Republic for a wave of previews, presumably embargoed for the Gamescom announcement. As such, there's likely to be more information to digest for the RPG.
Are you excited for Deliverance 2, and do you think it'll still release this year? Let us know in the comments below.

I literally cannot wait for this game! Hopefully it will have a smoother release then the first game
This could look amazing on ps5. I held off on the 1st due to there not being a ps5 upgrade.
Supermassive is showing their next game and so is the little.nightmare devs as well.
I just hope it will be playable on release.
Do we know if this game has any continuity with the first game narrative? I always meant to play the first game but just never got around to it and won’t have time to before this sequel comes out, so I wonder if it’s even worth trying to squeeze the first one in. It’s super cheap on the current sale, so that’s why I’m contemplating it.
@Th3solution It will follow the previous game heavily. You play the same character from the first and many of the side characters are returning too. A lot of the plotlines are left hanging at the end of the first so I would say play that before the second is released, if you have the time that is.
Currently playing the first game on Xbox and despite its irritating save mechanic and completely incomprehensible tutorials, I’m having a great time.
Apparently this is the game they had hoped to make the first time but couldn’t due to funding etc so looking forward to it.
Geoff Keighley be praised! Henry's coming to see us. Can't believe I'm actually pre-ordering this.
I feel like there's a lot going on with this and like the majority of games could be in rough shape at launch. Will probably look to pick it up after a few patches. They seem like they support their games very well which is a great thing.
This is my most anticipated title by far! I just can't wait🪄✨🎉
Also!!!!
"Gemaplay" what the hell is that!?
@AinsleyE Thanks for the info! I wonder if the save file will transfer over to provide any carryover of your decisions from the first game.
Either way, it sounds like I should just pick up the first game and put it onto the backlog. For $3 it’s low risk. I probably have that much in coins between the sofa cushions.
@Th3solution I read somewhere that save transfers won't be a thing. For that price, it is definitely worth a try. Some of the mechanics you might find annoying, it does things that people either like or hate but I loved it, and hopefully, you will too.
@Kidfunkadelic83
I did too, but couldn’t resist at £3.19 for the complete version, and so glad I got it. It’s now one of my favourite games ever (surpassed elder scrolls, if Sony are looking to replace that they should buy them).
Definitely made me want the sequel.
I really hope they took a different approach to combat, and skill leveling too. Such a good immersive RPG otherwise.
