Developer Larian Studios has teased the promised new Dark Urge ending for Baldur's Gate 3, offering fans a glimpse at the depravity they can get involved in, provided they are willing to play through the massive game again. At over 50 seconds long, this "teaser" suggests the genuine article will be rather girthy. This should probably go without saying, but beware of Baldur's Gate 3 ending spoilers in the clip below!
Still here? We said as much in our review, but if you haven't before and are a fan, you really should try rolling a Dark Urge character. Thanks to Larian's tattling, we now know that only 15% of you lot actually did, which is outrageously low. It feels like the "canon" way to play to our mind and is so much more than just an evil playthrough; resisting the Dark Urge is just as valid as giving into it. If you are particularly old, you'll appreciate the connections to the first two games in the series. Best of all, if you start now, you might even be ready for Act 3 in time for that big Patch 7 update, whenever it finally does arrive.
Are you plotting a potentially far darker Baldur's Gate 3 playthrough for when Patch 7 arrives? If you've dabbled, how do you think the Dark Urge is implemented currently? Let us know in the comments section below.

Ok, I’ve been holding off on my dark urge playthrough because I can’t only play BG3 for the rest of my life, but this might be a sign that it’s time.
Hopefully it’ll drag me away from Balatro. I think I have a Balatro problem…
I’ve just started a resist dark urge playthrough, and loving it - it’s an incredible mix of laugh out loud dark humour and really shocking twists.
I’ll give an evil dark urge run a go when this updates drops, I’m not sure how much girth he’ll have, mind.
I currently have a solo Dark Urge run ongoing. I have just started Act 2, so I'll likely be starting Act 3 in a week or twos time. Have to say, I'm playing it as a good run, resisting the Urge, but only because I want some items that are only available as a consequence of being good for the first two acts, which is slightly disappointing. What Larian need to do is introduce some properly decent armour and weapons that can only be obtained through being absolutely ruthless and evil to give people a reason to play dirty...
So weird, I made a dark urge drow monk/druid last night to mess around with after months without playing the game. (haven't decided my build yet, but wanted to try meditation, violence and magic as a combo without having to worry about finding nice armour)
So there we have it, born out of darkness, Sin'raema. Bonus points if you translate the name to its intended meaning 🙃
@Ravix Monk was the first class I played as in BG3. I love the vast movement and amount of actions you get in that role. Beating enemies to a pulp in single turns.
