Don't Nod has given us a fresh look at its upcoming narrative adventure, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. Channeling some real Life Is Strange energy, the game looks like it has real promise with its charming group of characters.
The game follows a group of friends who form a band — Bloom & Rage — in the 90s, spending a formative summer together, albeit one with a mysterious, unknown incident. Gameplay looks to include dialogue choices, recording footage on old video cameras, and exploring picturesque locations with the group of four. It looks really neat, though the jury's still out on how everything shakes out when you're actually playing.
Interestingly, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage will release on PS5 in two parts, or Tapes. The first will arrive on 18th February, 2025, and the second will launch a month later on 18th March.

I honestly thought they were done with episodic games. No physical release for this one?
@Athrum Since they are publishing the game themselves, there doesn't seem to be one. It wouldn't be surprising if another company like Limited Run stepped in and released one at some point if initial digital sales are strong.
I don't mind it being released episodicly, but I'll just wait until March for both parts. I'm sure I'll still have plenty left over from this year, so I likely won't have the urge to jump right in anyways.
Looks like the first game I’ll buy next year, given the current release schedule. Really looking forward to this one and you can bet I’ll be comparing it to the new LiS. Can’t wait!
@KilloWertz Oh thanks, I had no idea it was self-published.
@Athrum No problem. I didn't realize it either until I saw them listed as the Developer and Publisher over on the Game Profile on this page.
I guess it’s just me, but every Dontnod game looks terribly cheesy and boring. I see absolutely zero appeal, but to each their own.
Unfortunately the more I see of this game the less interested I’ve become. Hoping it reviews well.
Consistently looking terrific, really excited for this one - this and seeing Max Caulfield return has made the incoming winter a little less utter bollocks
Dont Nod make great games cant wait
I show up for Dont Nod, they have a special sauce
Any one else get chills during that trailer? The whole thing feels like it belongs in the IT universe
