Set to release on the 11th October, the marketing machine for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been in full flow for months now, as Bandai Namco pumps out trailer after trailer on a near weekly basis. As such, it's no surprise whatsoever to hear that the anticipated fighter will be featured during Gamescom Opening Night Live — the livestreamed presentation that precedes the actual Gamescom convention.

Confirmation of a "new look" at the game comes from host and organiser Geoff Keighley, who's been dropping a lot of names recently. Sparking! Zero will show up alongside the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, Marvel Rivals, Dune: Awakening, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Civilization 7. It's fair to say that we're starting to get a pretty good grasp of what Opening Night Live will offer.

So, what can we expect from this "new look" at Sparking! Zero? Well, Bandai Namco's been chipping away at character reveals — a necessity, given that the roster is gigantic — but we'd bet on this new trailer being a bit more... special. A focus on Dragon Ball Super, maybe? What about Dragon Ball GT? Beloved characters from the movies? There are loads of possibilities.
