Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, the remastered version of Grasshopper’s kitsch character action, will launch first on PS5, from 12th September. However, if you’re yet to upgrade to Sony’s new-gen system, you won’t have to wait long for a PS4 version: it’s due out in November digitally. There’ll be no physical edition of the last-gen edition to the best of our knowledge.
While this is being billed as a remake by Dragami Games, it sounds more like a remaster to us. The press release teases upgraded “full HD” visuals and “shorter loading times”, but promises the original experience remains unchanged and intact. There’s also a new “RePOP” mode which adjusts the colours to make them more garish and comic book-inspired.
Presumably, the majority of you reading will be purchasing this on the PS5, but know that the PS4 version isn’t far behind if you’re still playing on that particular platform.

Should be mentioned that a lot of the licensed music is gone.
@yazzika And much to my wife's disappointment, Zed's VA (Jimmy Urine) and associated boss tracks also changed 😞 (tho looking into the controversy surrounding him, it kinda makes sense...)
Very nice, looking forward to it👌👍
"the original experience remains unchanged and intact."
It sure is other than you know the soundtrack 😐
Can you imagine SE remade/remastered FF VIII and replaced all of the original soundtrack to something else and still called it the definitive VIII experience?
“ While this is being billed as a remake by Dragami Games”.
@get2sammyb Is it? I remember they said they were going with just a remaster because “fans wanted that over a remake”.

No physical means its vaporware, I can't force myself to buy digital. Maybe when it $10.
Not sure I get the hype for this game. I played it on PS3 and was neither impressed or disappointed with it. Was a very middling game IMHO and I pretty much forgot about it as soon as I was done w it. But that’s just me. Everyone has different tastes for sure and great for those that like this game that much.
