Ow, the edge! Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is speeding to cinemas on 20th December, 2024, and Paramount Pictures has just released the movie's first trailer. Confirming reports from earlier in the year, the film, which introduces Shadow the Hedgehog, will star Keanu Reeves as Sonic's new rival.

Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles — now collectively known as Team Sonic — are called in to deal with a new threat to the world, the volatile and dangerous Shadow. It seems he's too much to handle for our primary-coloured heroes, and so they turn to an unlikely ally: Dr. Robotnik, who's looking more and more like his in-game persona.
