Sony has announced some of its plans for Tokyo Game Show 2024, and so far, it's more or less what you'd expect. PlayStation will be present at the Japanese gaming expo, which takes place between 26th and 29th September, and if you're attending in person, it sounds like you'll be in for a treat.

Confirming its initial plans over on the Japanese PS Blog, Sony has announced two games that'll be playable at its booth. First up is Astro Bot, which will have released by the time TGS rolls around. Attendees will get to sample the 3D platformer, but the cherry on top is the presence of a real life gacha machine in the style seen in Astro's various games. People can use this gacha machine to win themselves one of four Astro Bot t-shirts.

The second game PlayStation is hosting is Monster Hunter Wilds. Of course, the Monster Hunter series has always been huge in Japan, and the upcoming entry will be playable at Sony's booth as well as Capcom's. Those who play the demo at Sony's booth will earn themselves a promotional Monster Hunter Wilds keychain.

Elsewhere, Sony will have a stage at TGS 2024, where it'll host various guests talking about upcoming PS5 and PS4 titles. This will all be livestreamed on the PlayStation Japan YouTube channel. Most notably, on 29th September, the platform holder is holding a presentation for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Hideo Kojima will be joined by various guests all involved with the anticipated sequel.

Sony also teases that more playable games and stage events will be announced at a later date.

We're pretty jealous of anybody going, especially because of that Astro Bot gacha machine. What are your thoughts on Sony's plans so far? Discuss in the comments section below.
