Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is powering towards a 9th September launch on PS5, and the wait is proving difficult for the Emperor's faithful. Thankfully, publisher Focus Home Entertainment has been drip-feeding us a nutrient-rich gruel of gameplay clips to tide us over in the meantime, detailing the Tactical and Sniper classes, as well as a look at the Battle Barge, which is equal parts void-ship, Gothic cathedral, and awesome.
In Space Marine 2, Titus' squad of Ultramarine battle-brothers consists of various named characters, each assigned a different combat role or class. That's in the campaign, of course; prospective players will be able to create and outfit their own characters in multiplayer.
The ever-adaptable Tactical marine is equipped for ranged combat, drawing from a well-stocked armoury of Adeptus Astartes gear, which includes variants of the iconic Bolter. Active Auspex will allow the player to quickly highlight surrounding swarms of Tyrandis, highlighting targets for squad mates and increasing the amount of damage they take. The Sniper, meanwhile, prioritises speed, mobility, and the ability to deal with tough targets from range. Using an active Camo Cloak means that cunning players can get in close, taking straight silver to isolated threats or reviving downed allies.
Finally, we got a glimpse at the Battle Barge, which will serve as your base in Space Marine 2. Here, wargear can be equipped in the Armoury Hall, and your next mission detailed on the War Map. When ready, board a Thunderhawk gunship and deploy to the next battlefield.
Are you counting down the days to Space Marine 2? Not much longer to go now! In the comments section below, let us know whether you will do your duty to the Imperium of Man.

I am looking forward to this game. But starting to think it might be a bit too much for me. I thought it was a simple straight up shooter.
Actually kinda hyped for this but will wait for full reviews. Looking great so far.
@yazzika The story mode should be straightforward. You can forget about the other modes if you like. If the story is well written and engaging then that may be worth it on its own at some price. See how reviews go.
Never in my life was I ever interested in Warhammer untill now.
This one, KCD2 and Black Myth seem so old school. Focused purely on fun and quality instead of stupid politics. Makes me feel like it's the good old PS3 era
This one even has various multiplayer modes along with its story mode... Well I never... TAKE NOTES NAUGHTY DOG ☺️
