A new trailer for Tower of Fantasy dev Hotta Studio’s anime-inspired GTA gacha game Neverness to Everness has debuted at Tokyo Game Show, and you could be looking at PS5’s next big thing here. It’s clear the Chinese studio has pulled together everything that’s popular for this project: there are elements of Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero, Persona, and the aforementioned GTA all on display.

The release will be powered by Unreal Engine 5, and will boast ray tracing and other fancy visual features. It’ll also be free-to-play, and will feature a character action combat system, as well as open world exploration and even light life sim elements. It’s trying to be everything for everyone all at once, which is a bold ambition – but it’ll be impressive if it pulls it off.

“NTE unfolds in a unique world where the ordinary and extraordinary coexist – a city teeming with anomalies and humans alike,” the press release reads. “As players, you will make a grand entrance into this city, employing your extraordinary Esper abilities to navigate and tackle the unexpected anomalies that await. NTE also offers a variety of lifestyles for the players to choose from: modify sports cars, manage businesses, and experience a vibrant urban life in the way you like.”

There’s no release date attached to the title, but pre-registration is open on the title’s website. What are your thoughts on this trailer? Is this game on your radar at all, or do you already have your hands full with various other gacha games? Let us know in the comments section below.
