Baldur's Gate 3 PS5 PlayStation

Baldur's Gate 3's anticipated Patch 7 was recently released on PC but delayed into October on PS5, adding a bunch of tantalising features and improvements and another mountain of fixes and tweaks. But while Larian Studios has confirmed that it won't be the game's final update, the developer remains tight-lipped about what's next for the expansive RPG.

On X, in response to a PC Gamer article, Larian director of publishing, Michael Douse, fanned the flames of hope, intimating that there is still more to come: "We ain't gonna talk about what's coming for the game because it puts undue pressure on the devs, but there are things we've said we'll do that are still coming, and the chefs must cook." IGN notes that Larian has previously mentioned both crossplay and a photo mode for the game, and the latter especially seems like a no-brainer. We'll hold off on getting our hopes up as much as possible, likely a losing battle.

What do you think? Does Larian have one last trick up its sleeve? Have you played BG3 recently? Is there anything you think it still lacks? Let us know in the comments section below,
