Baldur's Gate 3's anticipated Patch 7 was recently released on PC but delayed into October on PS5, adding a bunch of tantalising features and improvements and another mountain of fixes and tweaks. But while Larian Studios has confirmed that it won't be the game's final update, the developer remains tight-lipped about what's next for the expansive RPG.
On X, in response to a PC Gamer article, Larian director of publishing, Michael Douse, fanned the flames of hope, intimating that there is still more to come: "We ain't gonna talk about what's coming for the game because it puts undue pressure on the devs, but there are things we've said we'll do that are still coming, and the chefs must cook." IGN notes that Larian has previously mentioned both crossplay and a photo mode for the game, and the latter especially seems like a no-brainer. We'll hold off on getting our hopes up as much as possible, likely a losing battle.
What do you think? Does Larian have one last trick up its sleeve? Have you played BG3 recently? Is there anything you think it still lacks? Let us know in the comments section below,

Considering how much of the game needs a rework, Iβm not getting my hopes for anything beyond something small.
Anyone else tired of this trend of devs releasing their RPGs as 1.0/a final product, but really it's just early access? I definitely am.
@SlySnake0407 particularly when they already had early access before releasing the "finished game"
I guess in BG3's case that just meant "we have endings now" and not that they were done. These near constant additions of new story beats and endings honestly kind of turned me off playing more of the game at the time, I think I clocked around 150 hours, total, and never actually did the final boss. Altho that's prow more due to act 3 just being...kinda boring to me.
What is "x" mean????
Full physical release when it's all done PLEASE
@ILikeStake itβs Twitters new name.
They seem like a class act. I love it
@SteveJaye I just want publications to keep putting "X, the website formerly known as Twitter". It's got to make Elon mad which I'm all for.
I expect PS5 PRO upgrade
One of the greatest games in recent years keeps getting better.
No complaints here.
The post-launch support for this game has been really impressive. The base game sweeped all the GOTY awards and yet they keep improving it, and for free instead of selling the added content like most publishers would do. I havenβt seen sales numbers, so I wonder if thereβs a spike in sales after each major update.
Im not into D&D infact I know nothing of it but this game intrigues me just that what I'd call a dice but I know it's called something else just baffles me
Cross play and photo mode would be a nice addition. Itβs always interesting to see how well each photo mode is in these different games. Some have very simple basic photo modes and some have very well made detailed photo modes π
The horizon series photo modes are always so well detailed π
@SlySnake0407 Fully agree. So tired of this. Finish the game and move on. I hate how people expect every game now, even single player games to keep dropping content. No game should be expected to be played forever
Edit: If this was a large DLC then sure, but a few cutscenes, not to mention graphical fixes and bugs, shouldve been in the game in the beginning. Remember when people got angry that Mass Effect 3 was incomplete, and even when they released the extended cut EA still got slammed for putting in late? Those were better days
