Dragon's Dogma 2 New Update Patch

It's been quite some time since Capcom last piped up about Dragon's Dogma 2. The game's most recent update dropped several months ago, near the beginning of July, and the developer's maintained radio silence ever since. However, with Tokyo Game Show looming — and Dragon's Dogma 2 being named as a title that'll be 'PS5 Pro Enhanced' — Capcom's sprung into life via the game's social media.

The company's confirmed that a new update is "incoming". Its post reads: "We will soon be releasing an update for all platforms that will further improve CPU load, reduce crashes and bring additional adjustments." Granted, it doesn't sound especially exciting — although any performance improvements are more than welcome — but we'll need to see the full patch notes before jumping to any conclusions.

Recently, Dragon's Dogma fans have been caught in swirling speculation with regards to a DLC announcement. Said speculation stems from a number of developer-side updates that have been made to the game's files on Steam — often an indication that work is underway behind the scenes.

It's fair to assume that this upcoming patch will have been the cause of those adjustments — but that doesn't rule out a DLC announcement entirely. Again, Tokyo Game Show is fast approaching, and it makes sense to improve upon the existing release before unveiling some kind of expansion. As always, we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Would you go back to Dragon's Dogma 2 if this patch makes some big improvements? Gather your pawns and dive recklessly into the comments section below.
