LEGO Harry Potter Collection Will Be Re-Released for a Third Time on PS5 1

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 were PS3 games which were bundled together and remastered for PS4 in the form of the LEGO Harry Potter Collection. Now that version will get a third re-release on PS5, starting from 8th October. The package will be available digitally from the PS Store, and will include all previous DLC. There’s no word on a physical version.

The game, which is being ported by Double Eleven, will run at 60fps in native 4K, and it’ll feature various bells-and-whistles like DualSense haptic feedback and higher-resolution shadow maps. If you already own the PS4 version of LEGO Harry Potter Collection then there won’t be a free upgrade, but you will be eligible for a discount.

We scored the PS4 version of this bundle a 7/10 when we reviewed it back in 2016: “The LEGO Harry Potter Collection is just as good, if not better, than it was back on the PlayStation 3. Having both games bundled in a collection makes it feel like you're playing one lengthy game rather than two relatively short ones. There are still a few niggling mechanical issues present and the boss battles are disappointing, however fans of both Harry Potter and the LEGO games will find something to enjoy here.”

It’s a busy time for Wizarding World releases, as next week will also see the arrival of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions. And if you already own Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll unlock a bonus character in the magical sports game for free.
