God, these Overwatch 2 collabs are freakin’ good, aren’t they? Following on from Transformers and Cowboy Bebop, developer Blizzard has now announced it’s adding manga and anime sensation My Hero Academia to the game from 17th October. An initial trailer introduces the skins you can look forward to, including Reinhardt cosplaying as All Might.

All of the skins are actually really good: you’ve got Kiriko as Himiko; Tracer as Deku; Reaper as Shigaraki, and; Juno as Uraraka. There’ll likely be a lot more to the collaboration than just these costumes, but there’s obviously still a couple of weeks for the full extent of the crossover to be revealed.

Fans will be particularly hyped for the Juno skin, as she currently only has recolours available at the moment having been added to the game a little over a month ago, so this marks the addition of her first proper alternative look. She also shares a lot in common with Uraraka, so this skin just fits. Are you tempted to return to Overwatch 2 as a result? Let us know below.

Even though these skins seem decent, I personally don't like when the appearance of the initial in-game character is changed too much.

Happy for those, who still play Overwatch 2 and watches My Hero Academia, though

If you like this sort of thing, go nuts, but to me these collabs detract from the strong art direction OW enjoyed.

But I haven't played since 2017 so I very much doubt Blizzard cares what I think about the game anymore. Just noting that these collabs put me off even more from coming back, I suppose.

Man I loved OW, played it since beta until 5 days before the OW2 patch. If only they didnt completely change the game, monetized on such a scale the skins, and actually fulfilled their promises with the PvE part… I would still be playing it (and I am on the side of people that enjoy these type of collaborations).

I can't get excited about any Overwatch collab, because there will never be a skin good enough that I'll pay £20 to get it.

I could buy Citizen Sleeper, Nobody Wants to Die, Guardians of the Galaxy, FFVII Remake, Planet of Lana or tons of other games on my wishlist instead of getting one of these skins.
