With the future of gaming looking increasingly like Fortnite, it's probably best that younger players' impressionable minds are prevented from going completely feral. New controls are being put into place to ensure that kids will know when it's time to hop off Epic's eternally popular game, which can probably be used to limit adult consumption, too.
That paternal figure of games media, IGN, explored the new powers parents can look forward to wielding over their children's game time. This includes at what time and for how long kids can play either Fortnite or use Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). Unsuspecting children will see an in-game notification when their allotted playtime is almost up.
Hilariously, kids can even request more playtime. An email link will be sent to the associated parental email address when you need just a few more blessed moments of peace. Other controls include voice and chat permissions, language filtering, and financial limits on in-game purchases.
