Eyes Up for Dead or Alive Dating Game's Latest PS5, PS4 Trailer

Koei Tecmo has announced the penultimate character for its upcoming Dead or Alive-inspired dating game, Venus Vacation Prism. While none of the previous four heroines have been from the fighting game franchise, Honoka will be familiar to long-time fans of the brand.

It means there’s one more lady to be revealed, with rumours suggesting it’ll either be Nanami or Marie Rose.

As a reminder, this title is currently only announced for Japan and Asia, although the latter version will include full English subtitles. It seems like this game will focus on dating and visual novel-style gameplay, as opposed to the minigames from previous entry Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet, which also didn’t release in the west.

@PocketHotDogs I've read feminists in my time that compare sex to a battleground, so I should imagine that this will be right up their street.

Feels like they've finally arrived at the genre that this IP was meant for. Only took them 28 years but here we are.

Is this download only? Ya know, just asking for a friend while we patiently wait for DOA7… yeah.

@Ainu20 this is the 4th game of the Xtreme series going back over 20 years (tho the first one was, mostly, a volleyball game)

Are the accessibility options good enough to enable one-handed play? Just curious.

They put Honkers over og DOA characters like Kasumi, Ayane, Tina, or Lei Fang?

Well, i guess the last one possibly the loli Marie Rose since she's in the top 3 or no 1 fans favorite in Japan.

@Frmknst Yeah I've played them all. I know voices tend to be a bit higher than western fare, but not to this degree.

@Carck Those games were notionally still sports games, as ridiculous as that sounds! I don't think any of them were straight up dating games, but I admit I didn't actually get any, ehm, hands on experience.
