Big Fan Games — the newly established label from Devolver Digital — and Bithell Games have just announced TRON: Catalyst, and it's heading to PS5 in 2025.
As you can see in the announcement trailer, this is an isometric action adventure title set inside Disney's minimalist video game landscape. You play as Exo, a program who can control a mysterious power called the Glitch.
In addition to telling an original narrative, Catalyst has you engaging in kinetic-looking combat with your Identity Disc and riding around on the iconic Light Cycles.
You'll be able to explore the Arq Grid and meet characters as you progress, and it all looks authentic to the film franchise's neon-lit look.
The game's developer, Bithell Games, got started with Thomas Was Alone, and has since made several unique titles, such as Volume, The Solitaire Conspiracy, and John Wick Hex. This is actually the second TRON game from the studio, having previously released TRON: Identity on other platforms.
Big Fan Games, as mentioned, is a recently created publishing label under Devolver Digital. It specialises in video game adaptations of films, TV, books, and so on, partnering indie developers with big properties. As far as we're aware, this is the first announcement from the label since it was announced back in August.
What are your thoughts on TRON: Catalyst? Will you be checking this one out next year? Lob your disco discus into the comments section below.

I love Tron, so this is high on my list, though just wish Disney wasn’t involved.
This looks great, I'm definitely interested!
Oh hell yeah, let's go!
Oh … I was ready to hate on it. But that looks fresh.
@Dudeitsme Tron has always been a Disney property, and you managed to love it anyway.
Would love to have a Tron game as an rpg. Think the setting would be perfect!
I love Mike Bithell games but John Wick Hex was a little underwhelming the more I played it. I sense this is taking a bit from Volumetric (if I recall correctly that’s the name). It looks fine, but I sense as much as I love Tron this will not satisfy.
I absolutely love Tron, but I don't think this is doing it for me. Will wait for more and see what the story and gameplay loop is like; I don't want to play a rogue like though which I'm unclear if this is one.
Also woul shave liked to see this have a more distinct vision of the Grid of its own; Legacy was over a decade ago and I'd like to see something... different
Great. A non descriptive tron world made even less detailed by zooming out for a Diablo clone. Always saving a buck Disney. Pass.
Looks like the sort of game I'd wait for ps plus, download it and then never play it.
@Bunchesopuppies looks nothing like diablo
