Developer Poncle has announced the latest DLC for its smash hit passive action game, Vampire Survivors. It sees the team joining forces with Konami once again, and this time, it's crossing paths with Castlevania.
The add-on, named Ode to Castlevania, looks enormous; it includes over 20 playable characters, more than 40 new weapons, 30+ new music tracks (including original tracks and music from Castlevania), and the biggest ever stage to hit the game. You'll be able to play as all your favourite Castlevania characters, wielding various weapons and relics from the series, while exploring Dracula's Castle — though, apparently, there are still no vampires.
It launches on 31st October 2024 on PS5, PS4, and everything else for just $3.99/€3.99/£2.99.

Noooooooo....
I finished it last night. Everything, unlockables, bestiary, secrets and adventures. I told myself that I had enough. Why are they doing this to me...
I thought the Dead Cells crossover was great, but this is perfect.
@Overmind I feel ya buddy, that just-one more feeling is insane, but it's cathartic when you break free.
Oh it's lookin' super spooky! Can't wait to give it a sh-sh-sh-shot!
@Overmind dear God. That's what I call dedication! I've been playing it ever since it came out and I'm nowhere near close to getting everything, though I've been busy so according to the ps app, I've played for about 60hrs so far.
Finished the platinum for the main game and got many trophies for one DLC, this one looks good but I got a bit tired at the end. In addition, there is a big lag on the end-game (and specially on endless mode) while playing on the PS4. I will get the DLC later, with the other DLCs I am missing.
Unfortunately I don’t think the ones with licenses get trophy support.
Of course I'm playing this! VS is brilliant.
Screw it, LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO
This is a perfect reason to go back. I got the platinum a while back, but I'm still missing some secrets and characters. Me and my partner have been full into "Dragon Age Halloween" mood, though, so it has some competition on that day...
Oh no here we go again, of course ill buy it 🤣
@naruball
Playstation timer says 110 hours. If you aim for specific combinations of unlockables you can do a bunch of them at the same time.
Yeah, I think I'm skipping this one. VS already got way too much content for the type of game it is.
I'm sure they worked hard on the DLC and it will be good, but it ultimately is the same old simple gameplay formula.
Lol not sure how much more Castlevania is left for Vampire Survivors to copy, but I'm here for it!
The whole game prior to DLC is an ode to Castlevania. Jest aside (although true), this looks absolutely wild. I’ll definitely be picking it up. This game might be the definition of “best bang for your buck”. The amount of content they have, and for such a low price, is insane.
@Overmind Yeah, I thought so. I just wanted to take my sweet time with it, never look up anything and be surprised every time I got something right by accident.
Heck yeah! Just looked at the tile the other day wondering when they'd give the excuse to pick it back up!
We are eating good in the Castlevania universe lately! Playing the Dominus collection right now which is amazing. Castlevania Nocturne season 2 is coming to Netflix soon. And now this! Hopefully we can get a new original Castlevania game soon but I am so excited for this series right now. Lets go!!!
COD here is a weapon skin €18 here is a seasonpasses for Diablo here €30. Yeah I gladly support this one instead.
The game's characters, weapons and enemies are such a blatant ripoff of Castlevania already, they may as well make it official by making a deal with Konami.
Konami has been making a lot of smart decisions lately. The excellent Contra/Castlevania collections, Suikoden collection next year, getting WayForward to do the last Contra game, the Vampire Survivors collabs, and actually hiring a competent Western dev to work on their Silent Hill series. There's also the MGS collection, and the possibility we'll get a second one that'll save MGS4 from its PS3 prison soon.
First time in... what, a decade?... that the name Konami doesn't generate negative feelings for me. It's nice.
OK, this is my second this year day one buy.
