Publisher Neowiz and developer Round8 Studio have peeled back the curtain on their future plans, and it seems the team behind Lies of P is very busy.
According to Korean site EBN, the DLC for the Pinocchio-themed Souls-like is scheduled to arrive in the first quarter of 2025. No further details have been shared on this, but it's not the only thing Round8 has in the works.
In the same report, it's confirmed that the team's next title will be a sci-fi survival horror game, running in Unreal Engine 5.
Translated words from a Neowiz official tell us "it is still too early to disclose the progress of the project" and that this sci-fi horror title is "one of the PC and console games that Round8 Studio is preparing". In other words, there's more in the pipeline, which is quite exciting.
Lies of P proved popular when it launched last year, and did well critically as well. We loved it, praising its "quality combat and extensive, satisfying customisation".

I hope P is still your character, and it doesnt swap out (I wont go further as I dont want to spoil).
Having spent a few playthroughs with a build / weapons etc I like, for a dlc I dont want to start from scratch. I also think P, a few of the NPCs, and the city itself easily have more story left.
So hyped for their next project, Lies of P was amazing and I’m sure their artistic flair will pop off with sci-fi horror.
I'm quite happy I haven't bought the game yet now. I was waiting for a sale. Now I can wait for the complete edition to be on sale. Going back to a soulslike more than a year later is a headache.
Delighted with this! Lies of P would have been my GOTY easily last year, but BG3 swept my heart away last minute...
Such a cool game, I wonder if the devs will lean into the post-credit scene for DLC-inspiration?! (no spoilers...)
N.i.c.e. lies of p is a a really good game.word up son
Looking forward to more Lies of P and sci fi horror sounds interesting to me.
Phil's got more lies to tell 👍
After LoP these Devs are ones to watch.
I cant wait for this DLC.
It's been a while, I'm super curious of the scope of it. If it's over 10 hours, man, that'd be so exciting
I'm so excited for this! 'Lies of P' is so damn good. They've been quiet on that DLC for a while, I expected it'd be pushed into 2025. Hyped for that survival horror project too.
Wait what? Last time they said they were doing a sequel. Now it's just dlc and a different genre/ip?
@KundaliniRising333 maybe they still are planning a sequel. This next game could have already been on the boil after lies of p released..I'd like a sequel but I'm eager to know more of this one.
@Northern_munkey I hear you, it's just strange because it was very recently rumored sequel was going open world and the devs themselves shared artwork and that the sequel would be going unreal 5. I wonder if they abandoned that and turned what they had into a dlc and instead are choosing to do a surv horror game in unreal 5 for some reason.
More is good, however I'm not a huge fan of dlc. It's rarely done well and often feels too tacked and doesn't have the same appeal as the main adventure. There have been a very few gems in the dlc dept.
Survival horror is increasingly very simplistic and one note and mundane so that's less appealing, but who knows, maybe they can surprise in that genre as well.
Super stoked for this DLC. Lies of P shot to my top 3 Souls-likes, topped only by Bloodborne and tying with Elden Ring. I was definitely hoping for a shoe-based sequel, but if LoP is the quality of the studio's first game, then I will happily anticipate whatever they have cooking!
I hope the DLC is standalone, maybe playing as a different character entirely. That could allow them to try out some interesting new mechanics. Either way though, I’m gettin’ it! Loved Lies of P!
@Rich33 I would hope that swap you are talking about is saved for a more expansive sequel. I’d love to see P along with a cast of characters you bc a swap between. Expand the universe so to speak.
Not really into sci fi horrors and we have dead space which does the job for me
@KundaliniRising333 yeah I get your point with dlc. It's very rare that any dlc is worth the asking price in terms of content. The dark souls games, elden ring and cyberpunk are the exceptions to the rule but they are more full blown expansions so I'm hoping that anything extra for lies of p goes the same route.
@Northern_munkey @KundaliniRising333 The reporting on a sequel being open world was completely based on rumors regarding a job listing, which pointed to experience with open worlds; however, that's far from definitive, especially now that we know that Round 8 is working on multiple projects. All the publisher had said was they were focusing on the DLC and a sequel, but made no mentions as to the scope of either. The images that Push Square published for that rumor article were just the concept images for the DLC, which were already available, not the sequel. I pointed it out in the comments for that article, but it never got corrected.
