In this month's PS Plus Extra and Premium update, a pair of cult classics are being added to the retro collection. November's additions include PS1's Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and PS2 sequel Blood Omen 2 — excellently timed arrivals with the Soul Reaver titles getting the remaster treatment in just a couple of weeks. It really is a good time for fans of the franchise.
Even more good news, then, as the pair of Blood Omen games both have full Trophy support on PS5 and PS4. Over on PSNProfiles, you can find the lists for the two games, confirming 21 Trophies each — yes, including Platinums.
Both lists are pretty straightforward; you'll earn most of them by simply playing through each adventure. However, there are some extracurricular tasks to achieve if you want the full collection. In Blood Omen, you'll need to find all weapons, armour, spells, and objects, trigger all Bat Beacons, and find 50 secrets. The sequel, meanwhile, has you using all Dark Gifts, bloodsuck 200 bodies, and fill Kain's lore bar nine times.
Will you be gathering all the Trophies in the Blood Omen games? Let us know in the comments section below.

That's a Brucey bonus then
@rusty82 good game, good game 😉
Added to wishlist 🙂
YES!!! That’s great news 😃 I’m gonna make a start on these games this evening after work 😎
@rusty82 Here they are they're so appealing, OK trophies do your pinging.
Count me in, I will get those shiny!! 1st time I will play the Blood Omen games (I played the 3 Soul Reaver ones back in the day).
Had a chuckle at the first Blood Omen achievement. You need to survive the scripted ambush. Cheeky buggers.
Both games are good for the time of their release but by modern standards are pretty rough. Which is to be expected but modern gamers being what they are & common sense not being common.
Me I will for sure be playing through both games for nostalgia reasons having put many hours into each back in the day.
Won’t Aspyr probably be remastering them after SR 1&2 and TR 4-6 though?
@Dragoon1994 They will do Defiance next, I believe.
@Dragoon1994 Probably, which is why these two (and TR Legend) being emulated seems like a waste, but we’ll see.
@VeldinX
Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen is never a waste
@freddquadros
Sort of makes sense but would make more sense doing Blood omen 1&2 remasters first though
@Overmind Even if a better version comes out next year? I mean nobody knows at this point so it’s just a “what if” anyway.
@VeldinX
Play it again!
@Overmind Fair enough. 😊 As a TR fan I’m just a bit peeved at slogging through Legend with a vaseline finish (the emulated version looks terrible) when there will most likely be a remaster coming now anyway. Would have really been a piss take if I had paid the £16 they were asking too! 😬
@VeldinX
You are right ofcourse! If the emulation is decent, and TR Legend is clearly not, it's not a problem for me. Price is a factor too, paying double for a game in a short time span is somewhat oké if it's reasonable. I am a big LoK fan so I'm really happy these games are almost playable on a modern console. Let's just chalk this up to me being a bit of a fan boy when it comes to this series 😂
Gotta give THQ Nordic credit. They're the one third party publisher that has added trophies to all there classics.
