Sony is lining up a Fortnite console bundle just in time for Christmas. The package – due out on 22nd November – includes a console, 1,000 V-Bucks, and a download code for eight in-game cosmetics, featuring the following:
- Cobalt Snowfoot Outfit (with LEGO Fortnite alternative)
- Cobalt Crash Drums
- Indigo Inverter Pickaxe
- Weathered Snow Stripes Wrap
- Sapphire Star Back Bling
- Gold Discotheque Wheels
- Gold Stella Trail
- Gold Krackle Boost
All of these cosmetics together are estimated to be worth around 5,000 V-Bucks, so you’re getting a little over £30/$40 of value here.
The disc-based model is expected to carry an MSRP of £479.99/$499.99 and the Digital Edition is anticipated to cost £389.99/$449.99.
The big selling point, however, is that according to the ever-reliable Dealabs, the bundle will be discounted by £75/$75 for Black Friday. That would make the disc-based model £404.99/$424.99 and the Digital Edition just £314.99/$374.99. It’s still expensive this far into the generation, but it should help shift some systems.
Is this a bundle you’d personally be interested in? Do you think this will be a successful package for Sony? Let us know in the comments section below.

Doesn’t Sony do this every year?
They’ve bundled in a free to play game.
Slow hand clap.
We all have ago at Sony but at least they doing something.
I can’t understand the price strategy of the white disc less series x 1tb at £429.99 rrp
Where the PS5 disc less 1tb £389.99 rrp
Work that one out. UK prices.
Is it just me or is there a huge influx of Fortnite related news lately?
@OldGamer999
Thats mad - i would have expected MS to try and undercut PS5 by a good amount to try and regain some traction + isnt that the series x with the cheaper 6nm CPU/GPU too (and an internal hole where the drive used to be)?
Bundle in the disc drive with the pro then we can talk.
@Rich33
Yes smaller chip.
I know Microsoft have no good selling strategy for consoles and don’t care in my opinion.
Hence my move from series x to PS5 as my main console and soon to be PS5 Pro.
@themightyant
Pro should have been 1tb and then cost £100 less at £599.99.
Then you can have a choice of an extra £100 for a disc drive or another 1tb of memory.
Choice is better than forced.
@Rich33
My simple opinion of Microsoft with xbox is this.
I moved across to PS5 now for future third party etc.
Don’t trust Microsoft to have an under the tv home console.
Games like Indy, Doom coming to PS5.
Microsoft’s messing about and can’t just say what games are Xbox only, like maybe Gears, Forza and Halo etc.
it’s as if they could go PS5 if they wish.
Microsoft’s lack of clarity on this is shocking and so disrespectful to Xbox fans.
They really don’t care about consoles as far as I’m concerned, else they would make some clarity on Xbox exclusivity.
An Astro Bot bundle would have been better.
Only the willfully ignorant and brand allegiant playstation fan humans would turn a discussion on a terrible ps plus month into a random reason to flame Xbox.
Pretty interesting considering Sony is just ghosting the holiday release season aside from peddling an overpriced upgrade on the back of improving technically unpolished third party releases from the last 18 months and shipping a friggin Lego game....
@KundaliniRising333 How are Sony ghosting the holidays when they just released the highest rated game of the year, Astro bot. Talking of random flaming… come on mate you are usually better than that.
@OldGamer999
Cant disagree at all - though I wouldnt say Sony have been exactly Paragons either recently - a bit blurry tbh (I agree with the comment RE an Astrobot pack might have been better), but nothing a bit of PSSR cant clear up lol
@Rich33
Sony are no angels, but a least I know where I am with them and their exclusives approach and there will be a full power under the tv home console PS6.
@somnambulance Shhhh, you’ll have them writing more Concord articles.😂
I still think it’s odd having a $700 Pro model without a disc drive but if any game could be sold in just a digital version it’s Fortnite.
@rjejr I’ll take Concord over Fortnite any day, every day, and always. 😅
@OldGamer999 I rather have the 2TB for a 100 extra add another two and you have 4TB. If you play COD and things like FIFA then you are done with one game without the pro patch. And 1TB is not enough now it's not even 1TB because you lose 100GB plus on the OS alone.
@KundaliniRising333 Astrobot looks and plays fantastic now Horizon Lego and with the massive backlog im swamped anyway. I really don't understand the outrage there is so much to play.
At first I wondered why a Fortnite bundle, but it’s the first time since 2015 that there isn’t a PlayStation bundle with Call of Duty, I guess that’s why.
OK, campaign based on free to play game is bizzare, but it still cannot beat Microsoft couple of years ago, when they had Xbox One S (digital only console) bundled with physical Fifa. 🤣
@OldGamer999 I think Microsoft's reasoning is sell a console that funnels the userbase towards GamePass, and then cut out one of the cheapest parts of it but hold the price firm.
I agree entirely the Pro should've come with 1TB as standard and smaller disc drive. Especially when a good chunk of the market for it will be existing owners who are enthusiasts, and probably already own an optional SSD expansion already. Doubly so that the ease and sheer selection of adding one has been lauded.
Is Fortnite the best bundle Sony can do???
😬
@djlard : Xbox One Digital bundled with Fifa physical edition?....now that's some serious made up misinformation or your sketchy local store pulled a fast one on you.
I'll stick with the former.....
They should have included the Fortnite dualsense it would make more sense.
@somnambulance Question. Can you even play Concord now or is it completely shut down? B/c if it's shut down and you're taking it over Fortnite I think that means you've stopped gaming, so, have fun watching Netflix I guess. 🤷♂️
@rjejr I would certainly take perpetual silence over Fortnite. But Banishers and Life is Strange will be my gaming pastimes for the next month or so, so I’m not exactly on the common wavelength.
Also, I resubbed to Netflix for Dragon Ball Daima! So yes! Netflix once a week for a while!
I was one of the few that did purchase Concord. I didn’t play it a lot, but I played it some.
@Major_Player It was real. 😀 Brother of my boss was there and urged us to visit him in a hurry.

I've seen it on my own eyes, hold it in hands and we all around were laughing like hell. 😀
@djlard : So like I said your sketchy local store was at fault, it had nothing to do with Microsoft packing a physical copy with the digital console.
@Major_Player He showed me internal papers, where this bundle was blessed by Microsoft.
@djlard Sure, I can show anyone "internal" papers as well.....it so easy to do....
@somnambulance We gave my kid a Netflix gift card for their birthday in part so we can watch DB Daima w/ them. Also the live action Avatar. We haven't watched Super but they told us not to bother as it takes place after Z. Wish they had told us that before we watched GT. 😂
@rjejr Daima takes place after Z, but before Super. I wouldn’t recommend Super, as a Dragon Ball fan in the anime format. I’d watch the Super adjacent films, as they’re all wonderful, but the anime is rough as it was clearly not made with consideration for the manga, as it got ahead of it production wise, all the while having sloppy production. The manga is the better format of Super. I like anime Super more than GT, but that’s like saying I like Concord more than Fortnite. Is it much of an argument to have?
Man, am I loving Daima so far though!
It's not really a bundle if you're giving me a digital skin with V-bucks.
Throw in some real games.
@somnambulance I think we've seen all of the movies except Broly and they've all been good, though I did think the first 1 was a little slow. I can't recall any of the names, the last 1 was the 1 w/ the kaiju bad guy I think, can't go wrong w/ a giant kaiju villain. And Freiza is Frieza, always good.
OK now you have me looking forward to Daima, I'll add it to the list. 👍
@rjejr Happy to help encourage the watching of Daima. If you liked Resurrection F and Super Hero, by the way, you’ll probably really like Broly!
@somnambulance As long as it's better than those 2 older Broly movies, 1 of which I recall being pretty bad, that's good enough for me. Though I suppose to be fair they were all pretty bad. 😂
@rjejr The Z movies are almost uniformly awful if you don’t have a heavy dose of nostalgia. In fact, in some ways, the Z anime can be quite awful too. For the Z era movies, I’d say Wrath of the Dragon is easily the best of that bunch with Fusion Reborn being second (unless you count the GT era remake of early DB, Path to Power) and then you’re going from movies that are straight up derivative to a cliff dive in content. The first Broly movie is ok, but the other two are toward the bottom of the cliff. Super Broly, however, is Toriyama’s version of Broly and, honestly, could be the best of the films, even better than Super Hero. It takes the most overrated character to come from the franchise and frames him into a sympathetic character that can’t cope with the power within him, a monster against his will. And the great thing is that Toriyama himself worked on most facets of the film, including character designs, storyboarding, and the script. Broly and Super Hero are reportedly the deepest he had ever worked on the franchise in all aspects, even more than OG DB and Z, as he was too busy writing the manga to contribute to the anime in any meaningful way.
@somnambulance That all sounds right. I remember 1 movie where a giant tree grew saiba men that I liked and another where Goku peed on some guys head. Which was much funnier than it reads. But that's about it. Looking forward to Broly and Daima, thanks again. 👍
