Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter Part of PS Plus Premium Lineup for December

Three games playable from 10th December

Alongside the PS Plus Essential lineup for December 2024, Sony has also revealed a few of the Classic titles joining PS Plus Premium next month to mark its 30th-anniversary celebrations. Three PS2 classics are on the way, available from 10th December 2024:

Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS2)
Sly 2: Band of Thieves (PS2)
Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves (PS2)

This particular Jak and Daxter game is actually already available on PS Plus Premium, so it's assumed this new version will be using the new emulator that was introduced with Forbidden Siren last month. As for the two Sly titles, this now completes the original trilogy for the subscription service, allowing you to play all the games in addition to PS3 entry Thieves in Time via streaming.

There may be more PlayStation classics included in the PS Plus Premium drop for December 2024, as Sony teases the announcement in the blog post as a "first reveal". Of course, we'll also need the PS Plus Extra game selection for next month, so there'll be more news during the middle of December.

I can die happy now!!!! Also that's 4 more platinum trophies to add to my collection, and with that I'll have 10 Sly Cooper platinums in my list!

@MeanBeanEgg I believe Sony makes these ports available for a la carte purchase, so you should be able to grab them at launch no issue.

Yes! So this pretty much confirms an anniversary classics blowout. We usually only get 2 or 3 a month, so with these 3 just being an early preview, more will probably be announced on the usual third Wednesday of the month! 😍

I hope i can buy sly cooper separately without the subscription like they do for dino crisis. Please sony.

I'm luvin all these Back Compat titles being pulled up. Keep going!! In a week we are gonna have 4 out of 5 of the Legacy of Kain series! On modern hardware! Dino Crisis and RE: Directors Cut! Next year aims to be slow for new titles but it can easily be Sony reclaiming the Back Compat kings with a little work.

@Broosh For real I think I'd actually cry 😅. Wrath Of Heaven is my favourite and the one I want the most ^__^. Also the PSP entry Time Of The Assassin's was overlooked I really enjoyed that one

Now hopefully we can get the OG Ratchet games emulated in 2025. Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank alone won't do.

Awesome! If we are getting a classics blowout to celebrate the 30th, I hope Ape Escape 2 (that'll actually work on Ps5 this time) and Ape Escape 3 are among them. I'd take the OG Spyro trilogy on Ps1 too, but I'm not sure how the rights for that would work now.

It's nice to see Sly Trilogy are playable for PS4/5.

I just hope Sony add Wild Arms 4, 5, XF, and Alter Code F so i can get the whole WA series on PS4/5.

Also, would be cool if Sony add niche games like Koudelka, Shadow Heart, Galerians, Alundra, or Legend of Legaia for PS4/5. These games deserves more spotlight but the physical copy for these games are pretty expensives.
