Like most big video game events, fans are getting their hopes up ahead of Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards, which airs tomorrow, 12th December. The industry's lovable rogue's gallery of insiders has been fanning the flames ahead of the big night. Now, Bloomberg's ever-reliable Jason Schreier has graciously permitted us off our chain, signalling there will be at least two announcements that, for good or ill, will make fans say: "Holy s**t, I can't believe this thing is here".
Appearing on today's episode of Kinda Funny Games Daily, Schreier managed to ignite a spark of hype in this scribe's jaded heart when he teased: "What can I say without getting in trouble? I know about a couple of announcements that will be there, and they qualify as big announcements. That said, big announcements are games that won't be out for years. So I think there's a good chance that you'll have one or two teaser trailers for a game that is 2026 or even later."
