Wolverine PS5

Insomniac has avoided answering questions over whether Marvel's Wolverine could release for PS5 later this year in an interview with Variety. As part of the announcement that Ted Price will be retiring from the developer and replaced by three new co-heads, Variety interviewed the three new leaders and asked about a Marvel's Wolverine 2025 release date.

The outlet explained that Chad Derzern, one of the new co-heads, "would not confirm or deny a 2025 release for the game". Derzern then added: "We’ve announced Wolverine, and we’d love to talk more about Wolverine, but we have to be like Logan today, and remain very stoic until it’s time to pop the claws down the road. As much as we’re as much as we have pent up excitement, we got to hold on to it. So that’s about as much as we could say about our upcoming projects today."

First revealed in September 2021 during a PlayStation Showcase, it's been more than three years since the PS5 project from Insomniac Games. Since then, there hasn't been a single piece of official footage or another trailer. The only way we have seen the title is through an unfortunate hack of the developer that led to early production videos being posted online.

It does not feel like the hardcore PS5 userbase expected Marvel's Wolverine to release this year anyway, especially with Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei already in the pipeline. When do you think we'll finally play Marvel's Wolverine? Post your prediction in the comments below.
