With Kingdom Come: Deliverance II set to launch on 4th February on PS5, anticipation is beginning to boil over for developer Warhorse Studio's ambitious RPG. To hold us over in the meantime, we've got a brief, vibe-setting trailer with a fixed focus on incomparable protagonist Henry of Skalitz.
Raised a blacksmith but revealed to be the bastard-born son of a nobleman in the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the direct sequel begins shortly after the first game's conclusion. Now formally squire to the hilarious and hedonistic Lord Hans Capon of Pirkstein, the unlikely duo set off on a new adventure. Henry will be required to serve his master capably on the battlefield and as a wingman to woo fair maidens, expected to have Capon's back in the ensuing raucous, drunken tavern brawls.

The best part of the first KC was the ability to leave the main story aside and simply live the medieval life. Keep this mantra...and fix the combat...and I'll be beyond satisfied.
Oh wow... it is just a matter of days before I get to play one of my most anticipated games ever. The best thing is that I'm there for the overall medieval vibe and all of the great rpg systems crossing over each other to deliver an immersive game (if perhaps toned down for the launch experience).
Also, I look forward to it being maintained, cared for, and expanded upon as a good game should be. It will be getting extra modes, content and new stories for years (I would imagine bigger expansions could come after the initial slew of updates).
Is it not fair to score in the longevity of a game when reviewing? You have a clear road map to take into account - of course it is only a tangential compliment to a game which must be reviewed in its current form, but many game reviews in here take account for the mutability and longevity of a game when deciding on the final score. Any thoughts?
@EfYI I tend to think that if the developer has taken the decision to not include all the content in at the time of release then reviewers shouldn't pay attention to the 'roadmap'.
(Perhaps with an exception for something like Cyberpunk where the updated version is essentially a different game to the catastrophic release.)
Nice to have part of the first game spoiled for me without warning.
Got the Gold Edition pre-ordered, getting really hyped now and i can easily see it being a GOTY contender for me.
The hate this game was getting it's crazy. Obviously, it was just a loud minority but yikes.
@Lup i havent seen any hate?
@Toot1st
Maybe it was just Twitter. I normally don't use it, but I checked it for some news and people (the usual suspects) were insulting and really mad because the game has a homosexual romance if I understood correctly.
@AndroidBango
Yes! I am arguing that the existence of a future plan to care for the product is a form of QoL that should reflect positively on its score but not raise the score necessarily.
I still feel hustled by buying the first game at full price only to find out it was a basically a boredom simulator, but for those of you who enjoyed the first game, I hope the second is another heaping helping of whatever you found enjoyable about the first one.
That's the nicest possible thing I can say about this franchise.
@Toot1st You're lucky that haven't seen any, it's most stupid hate mob I've ever seen.
@Lup really? who still uses twitter?! lol
but more seriously, if you go looking for things you will find them. i haven't seen any 'hate' for this game here or anywhere else in my normal browsing/reading.
@HappyGamerGirl
A lot of people, I assure you. There were a lot of comments.
And no, I wasn't looking for hate, I just checked Tom Henderson's official account and ended up seeing the tweet.
This sequence is almost as good as the Cyberpunk one that inspired it.
@Lup optional gayness though ,you don't have to go on a bumming marathon , this comment is going to get removed isn't it 🤣
Im still playing the original kingdom come deliverance.my backlog of games is huge.kingdom come deliverance should be excellent just like the first kingdom come deliverance.word up son
@Frmknst In my opinion 3rd person would not work at all for this game, just look at the combat for an example.
@playstation1995 I downloaded it again, and thought I'd play it before the release to refresh my memory , I lasted 40 minutes, I just couldn't get passed the jankiness and crappy textures, wish they upgraded to a ps5 version.
So pumped for this, first game is top 5 game from last generation for me
@StrickenBiged Yeah, it was a big and awesome twist in the game, they could just put the spoiler part on the bottom or something.
