Yesterday was industry legend Shuhei Yoshida's last day at PlayStation. Before we'd even had a chance to miss him, the icon is back, revealing his entry into the world of professional voice acting. Shu's first role will be as MonouGe, a bizarre, anthropomorphic mascot for a grimy, haunted video game arcade in Promise Mascot Agency, announced last year.

Shu will debut alongside some serious talent, including Takaya Kuroda, the voice of Kazuma Kiryu himself in the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series. Eri Saito, whose credits include Chainsaw Man and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, is involved, as is fellow industry type Hidetaka "SWERY" Suehiro, the director of the Deadly Premonition series.

He said he wasn't leaving the industry entirely, but did you expect to see Shuhei Yoshida return so soon? What do you think of Promise Mascot Agency? Let us know in the comments section below.
