One of the questions PlayStation owners are looking to have answered in 2025 is how Microsoft's multi-platform efforts will evolve after its initial batch of PS5, PS4 ports. Future titles like DOOM: The Dark Ages and The Outer Worlds 2 have been confirmed for Sony systems, but what about the back catalogue games? According to industry insider NateDrake, speaking on his podcast, Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator are two titles he's "heard" will make the jump across.

He said: "Games that I have heard will be released multi-platform in 2025 beyond the obvious include Flight Simulator... and Halo: The Master Chief Collection." NateDrake states both games will be coming to PS5 and Switch 2, alongside the above two games and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake in 2025.

A known and reliable insider within the industry, NateDrake has often been on point with their predictions and claims, with many seen on the ResetEra forum. He continues: "Microsoft is just gonna fully embrace that [third-party push]. I'd say any game coming out this year [from Microsoft] will at some point find its way to PS5 and/or Switch 2. It's just gonna be a question of when."

While a handful of Microsoft's 2025 titles have already been confirmed for PS5, there are still some omissions like South of Midnight and potentially Fable. NateDrake also reckons that if a Gears of War collection does exist, that'll likely launch on PS5 day one too.

One of the best gaming collections — having been fixed in the years since release — Halo: The Master Chief Collection bundles together Halo: Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Reach, and Halo 4 under one roof. All the single player and multiplayer components remain intact.

There's already been some chatter of Halo appearing on PS5 for some time now, with speculation surrounding a Halo 1 remaster appearing on Sony's system as Microsoft considers the series for a multi-platform push.
