Promise Mascot Agency, the next game from the makers of Paradise Killer, is coming later this year, and it's one we've been keeping an eye on here at Push Square Towers.

We've been very curious to see for ourselves how this one will play out, and fortunately, a playable demo has just been announced and released. You can now play the demo on PS5 via the PS Store.

For those out of the loop, we've embedded a trailer above, but we'll give you a brief overview too. The game is an unusual mix of genres, blending together a crime drama story, open world exploration, creature collecting, and management sim elements.

You play as an exiled yakuza member who's tasked with revitalising one of the clan's failing businesses — a mascot agency. In this world, mascots are sentient creatures with their own desires, and your job is to find them, recruit them, and send them out on appropriately matched jobs.

While the mascots are out on their assignments, they may run into problems, and you'll need to help out in card-based battles and the odd minigame.

It's tough to describe, but soon you'll be able to check it out yourself with the demo. It's 80 minutes long, according to the press release, though precisely what it contains has been left a mystery.

We'll certainly be giving the demo a look, but what about you? Are you interested in Promise Mascot Agency? Let us know in the comments section below.
