Hot off the news that NetEase just laid off the US support team for the ridiculously successful Marvel Rivals, the marketing machine continues to roll forward relentlessly. Get a look at both Human Torch and The Thing in gameplay reveal trailers, as well as an overview of the upcoming Central Park map, set to arrive on 21st February on PS5.
NetEase has proven surprisingly sensitive to the thoughts and feelings of its player base, immediately changing course on its proposed mid-season rank reset after just 24 hours. Casting an eye over the associated community subreddit, and there is already quite a bit of consternation, we'll be interested to see how the company decides to respond.

What do you think of the current state of Marvel Rivals? Are you excited by the imminent arrival of The Fantastic Four's undeniably more interesting half? Let us know in the comments section below.

the budget hulk that can’t transform back lol. i like the human torch though. black panther is my main character so i hate flying characters (well i dont like them in any game tbh) but im gonna use the human torch. i really need them to add my boys ghost rider and blade though
Hulk and Iron Man reskin basically.
What a trash company. Create a wildly successful game then lay off half the staff completely grotesque behavior.
@BirdUp Only 6 people got laid off. But all these news stories that say "Entire US team laid off!!" makes it sound so much worse. I'm honestly not sure why or how it ended up being such a big story.
@Contimaloris from the director of the US team his initial statement made it seem like it was much more
@Drago201 he was the director of a studio contracted with Netease. He wasn't the game director of Marvel Rivals. They also only created the destruction mechanisms for the game. Reading the actual blog post and the follow-ups explains everything. But it's easier to read simplified articles of what's happening because it's easier to consume.
@FinneasGH the Thing yea, I'd say is mostly a re-skin of the Hulk in only one of his 3 forms. Human Torch's flying capabilities and moves are much different than Iron Man's and a better version.
@SillyBoyJudas yeah it seems like no one had the accurate info it was everyone trying to be 1st with sensationalism
