After being delayed at the tail end of last year, the remaster of cult classic PS1 platformer Croc: Legend of the Gobbos will soon release on PS5 and PS4.
Publisher and developer Argonaut Games has confirmed a digital release date of 2nd April, 2025, as well as shared a new trailer, embedded above.
Announced last August, the remaster sees the return of the fan favourite crocodile's first adventure with revamped visuals, modernised controls, and an extensive museum full of behind-the-scenes goodies.
There's no word just yet on when those swanky physical editions will be shipped, but those planning to grab this on digital storefronts don't have long to wait.
As big fans of this plucky mascot platformer, we're super excited to rediscover it when it arrives in a matter of weeks on PS5 and PS4.

Already had my collector edition pre ordered for PS5 back in December (hoping for around Xmas release at that time), and am very excited to return to my 9 year old self when this first released. In just a couple weeks too! Glad Argonaut took the time to polish this, and that they’re back for what is hopefully many years to come. 💚

Now whether that was calendar Q1 or fiscal Q1 we dont know.
Unfortunately my younger brother’s 19th will be overshadowed by the true king, Croc. And the Switch 2 but that’s an afterthought compared to Croc.

Really hyped to play this series again as i adored it growing up. Hopefully it does well enough that remake the sequel as well.
Now we just need the Gex trilogy.
