Hollow Knight: Silksong PS5 PS4

Hollow Knight: Silksong fans are so starved of information at the moment that even a minor update to the title's Steam page is enough to set tongues wagging. In the past 24 hours, the SteamDB website tracked an update to the storefront which saw the Team Cherry sequel tagged as supporting GeForce NOW and updated with a new copyright year.

That's all there is to the update; it's just a small change to the copyright (from 2019 to 2025) and confirmation the game will support NVIDIA's streaming technology whenever the 2D experience finally releases. However, that's obviously more than enough to get Hollow Knight fans speculating once again.

A lot of responses to the post from Wario64 sharing the update speculate about incoming news (some of which is tongue-in-cheek) and suggestions of when we might learn more from the developer. Given the original title's attachment to the Nintendo Switch — its console debut was on the hybrid device — it's speculated that the follow-up may be at next week's Nintendo Direct for the Switch 2.

Hollow Knight: Silksong has, at this point, far surpassed its position as a standard indie reveal, and could compete with bigger AAA releases for space in a big livestream. It's possible next week's big unveiling of the Switch 2 is the place for it.

The game was originally announced all the way back in 2019 and has been very rarely seen ever since. It was confirmed for PS5 and PS4 in 2022, and has been the subject of minor, random updates like an Xbox Store page, age ratings, and now today's confirmation of GeForce NOW support.
