Sony already remastered rhythm RPG Patapon and its sequel Patapon 2 for PS4, which you would think would make Bandai Namco’s licensed Patapon 1+2 Replay bundle redundant.
But that’s actually not the case, because the Japanese publisher is putting a bit more thought into this compilation than original maker Sony did.

New features in the bundle will include an input timing slider, allowing you to account for any potential input lag.
Obviously, these original games were made for the PSP, where you could always guarantee perfect responsiveness. But depending on your television, input lag can be introduced, so playing these games on a big screen requires some kind of input adjustment to accommodate.
Bandai Namco is also introducing difficulty toggles which will relax the timing requirements, making the gameplay more appealing to those who always find themselves out of time.
While small details, these are things PlayStation should have already introduced for the aforementioned PS4 remasters, and it’s quite alarming that it’s taking a licensed re-release to get them added in.

I think the input lag on new TVs is the reason we won't be seeing any remasters of the Shadow Hearts games.
Going to get this remastered on my deck oled. Revive the sweet old memories playing this OG game on psp long time ago 🥲
Hope they do locoroco next, would love a new locoroco especially after playing......
That was my issue with the PS4 games, as well as Parappa, they needed a sync test feature.
@L_Bosch Or Vagrant Story, now I think about it.
Reminds me that I found HiFi Rush to be unplayable until I realised that the PS headphones solved the audio-lag issues I was experiencing.
I'd imagine Sony wouldn't just give their IPs out for 1:1 completely unchanged ports to begin with. Improvements should be expected, especially when going multi-platform.
Good feature, don't remember much but input was awkward on remasters but don't think so for no straight roads for me it was me I found more then the game, so not sure for hi fi Rush as not played it.
Using a Samsung 3D 55 inch I think TV connected for my PS3/360, PS4/XBox One and Switch, on occasion an AV box with my PS2/Wii/N64. So pretty old.
Prior or still have and connect rarely besides a PC monitor use for another. A 32 inch 2016 (or when I bought it) or so.
