This author is unhealthily obsessed with Alice in Wonderland, so you can bet this new Disney Dreamlight Valley update is going to bring him back to his dilapidated village with a vengeance.
The free update, due on 23rd April, adds a new realm to explore, inspired by the vintage Disney movie based on Lewis Carroll’s iconic novel.
Completing the realm will allow you to recruit two new villagers to your valley: Alice (obviously) and the Cheshire Cat. You’ll find friendship paths for both of them, with unlockable rewards.
There’ll also be a Star Path inspired by Alice in Wonderland as well, alongside a bunch of quality-of-life improvements, which largely seem geared around burning in-game currency for convenience.
One other thing worth noting: a future update will see Star Wars cosmetics added to the release’s Premium Shop, including an R2-D2 companion which we bet won’t be cheap.
It seems like a superb all-around update to us, though, now we just need the time to actually play it.

I had a lot of fun with this game, and it’s great on the Portal, but I think I’ll continue to keep my distance for the moment. Disney’s take on Alice in Wonderland is iconic stuff, but Dreamlight Valley just eats up playtime and there are only so many hours in the day.
Now if only I could move my Switch save file over to the PS5 version!
I’m looking forward to the Star Wars content. Hope we get a Star Wars realm at some point (and a Marvel one).
