Well done @Fight_Teza_Fight for going back to finish it off
I agree about the stealth parts being a bit of a put off.
MM is a much more streamlined experience and arguably better for it.

@Fight_Teza_Fight congrats buddy… and as others have said, I found Miles Morales quite a bit more enjoyable.

#57 - Zombie Army 4. Brilliant brilliant game. Rebellion do so many things right and considering they aren't a massive studio that's saying something. Their games always have a similar feel to them but also manage to feel different at the same time. Couple that with a great sense of humour and that's something special.

Thanks to @AgentCooper and @colonelkilgore for your time to go through the coop and horde trophies and a second thanks to AgentCooper for the tip on the quick levelling which meant I could rattle through those last levels to avoid the grind. It was a hell lot of fun playing this with you guys!

CaptD

@render Well done on the latest plat and for keeping those dastardly zombies at bay.

@RogerRoger @CaptD Thanks guys and CaptD, I forgot to mention you previously when I said thanks to the other guys but thanks for the help with the coop campaign. It was early on for me but I think it was probably at the end of your run to the platinum, you just smashed this one 👍

@render
And another congrats for a ZA4 shiny. At least we'll know which guys to turn to when the inevitable zombie apocalypse occurs. Good stuff.

@sorteddan Cheers man, as long as I can get hold of Mosin or a Shotgun Mortar we should be fine 😄

#159 Death's Door (PS5)
I can't praise this game highly enough. Loved just about every moment of it. It was the exact thing I needed to play at this moment in time. Happy to challenge myself with a second - umbrella only run - which I actually found easier than the first at most points. If I'm right in thinking that the digital purchase got me both PS5 and PS4 versions with separate trophy lists then I may go do it all again in a few months time.
Without doubt my favourite game I've played this year.
About 23 hours over both runs.

And my tenth plat of the year so far.

@sorteddan congrats mate, always liked the look of it but your enthusiasm for it has made me even more keen to finally give it a go.

Thanks @colonelkilgore
You should. If you enjoy it half as much as I did then you're in for a treat.

CaptD

@sorteddan Well done. I do like the look of that game and it has been on my watch list for a while but with it being on game pass then I'm kind of waiting for it to appear on PS+(+). 🙄😜
Are you going to be playing Tails of Iron next week? Another souls like but in 2D and featuring a rat not crow. Not sure whether the rat can wield a brolly.
That game has also been on my watch list.

CaptD

cheers @CaptD
Wasn't planning on it, I haven't ever heard of Tails of Iron and tbh I generally steer well clear of games described as soulslike. Will probably check out a couple of reviews of it and may have to reassess my aversion to particular genres.

render

@sorteddan Congrats on the Deaths Door platinum. Your sentiments echo my own regarding that game. I went into my play through with the umbrella as a user on here had mentioned that was a trophy requirement and while I found it tough it wasn't crazy, but having tried the other weapons afterwards I realised how much less damage swinging a stick with a bit of cloth attached to it did to most enemies

@RogerRoger @render
Thanks guys.
I think I found the second run easier due to having knowledge of enemy attacks and the locations of all of the upgrade shrines so the Umbrella wasn't as limiting as I thought it might be.

@render @sorteddan @Kidfried @colonelkilgore @RogerRoger Thanks guys! I’m not even sure why I dropped it. Can’t even remember what came out back Sep2018- might even been a Switch game.

Glad to hear about the positive WOM about MM. I like these shorter ‘budget’ AAA single player games I hope we can’t more of those in between the big blockbuster releases.

I will definitely finish off the DLC sometime soon (didn’t even know I owned it till I clicked on the DLC tab!), so I will be continuing my web slinging tales.

Also congrats on the new platinums everyone 💪!

You are most welcome @render I had a really great time with this one, and it gave me a real mood boost playing with you both 👍 can’t wait for more!

Congratulations all on your recent shinies, especially @sorteddan, I’m made up you enjoyed Death’s Door so much and has inspired me to get back to it sooner rather than later.

In fact ZA4 was Platinum #42 for me, so I’ll break my duck again for this thread. What a game! Had a lot of fun and the platinum was a nice mixture.

Quickly followed up with Plat #43 Tekken 7.

Had this on disc back in ‘19 but sold it on, but after all this talk of 8 coming soon, I got the itch so bought the definitive edition in a sale. Wasn’t expecting to mop it up this fast, it was a nice change of pace from the zombie slaughter though. Akuma in the special chapter can get in the sea, probably the most difficult trophy for me on the list but otherwise pretty casual 👍

#58 Hoa - Started this ages ago with the kids and we totally forgot about it because of getting into Hogwarts. I think @Jimmer-Jammer, who I don't think has been posting lately, originally recommended this to me so thanks Jimmer. Even though it wasn't at all taxing it had a very emotional ending and was a perfect little indie game.

@AgentCooper Nice work on the Tekken 7 platinum, probably 1000% times more taxing than the one I just popped 😅

Thrillho

@render I’ve mentioned the umbrella thing to people as it’s easy to miss! I didn’t find playing with just that too bad as I didn’t know any better I think the end game stuff you can use anything though so at least I got to try out other weapons.

But I’m glad you enjoyed it @sorteddan and hopefully those pesky collectible trophies weren’t too problematic. How did you find the endgame stuff though?

Thrillho

sorteddan

@Thrillho
Well I had explored fairly thoroughly so collectables weren't too bad, though I did scour just about every part of the cemetery to find the last seed which then turned out to be in the cave leading to a other area. As for the other stuff I just went back through the glowing red doors and found it all pretty easily. I will admit I had no idea what was going on with the glowing purple ghosts when I first encountered them!

@AgentCooper
Thanks and congrats on your recent one-two punch combo there.

@render
Yeah think I did that one as well. Just a pleasant little stroll of a game. Well done.
