Re: Evo 2024 Is Going to Be Gigantic, Smashes Record for Most Players in Any Esports Event Ever

AdamNovice

I think this could be the best Evo ever! SF6 has been out for over a year with new characters added so the match ups should be more diverse.
Tekken 8 is bound to bring a lot of hype given how well Tekken 7 did.
Street Fighter 3 Third Strike made Evo what it is so to see it back is amazing.
Maximilian Dood is streaming at the venue so that should be a lot of fun.
And a fair few big announcements could happen too such as MVC Collection release date, Terry Bogard shown for SF6 maybe even a new Virtua Fighter.

Re: Sony Game LEGO Horizon Adventures Reveals Footage in Nintendo Direct

@BacklogBrad I think having it on SGF served two purposes.
1) They get to announce a game on a show that will get a lot of viewers outside of PlayStation, which is ideal for a game like this.
And 2) They know that they would get heat for announcing a day and date game for Switch on a SoP, they already get it for announcing PC ports on them so I can only imagined what it would have been like had they revealed it on SoP.

@IOI Outside of PC, Playstation probably got more announced then any of the other consoles. Just because Sony didn't do a big showcase doesn't mean they were a non event this summer

Re: Astro Bot Has Over 150 PlayStation Character Cameos

I'm hoping for some Playstation deep-cut cameos, this is the same developer that used the Pocket Station battery cover as platforms in Playroom after all lol.
@Korgon Now that's what I'm talking about, maybe even the Scarecrow too.

And the Bloodborne PC portbegging got tired 5 minutes after it was originally announced.

Re: Xbox Explains Why It Shuttered Beloved Hi-Fi Rush Developer

@NEStalgia Your theory (and others) is certainly a sound one and makes the most sense, especially when I got the impression that Phil wanted all of Bethesda's games to be exclusive originally. You seemed to be more clued up about how Satya Nadella runs things then I do so I trust your word.
As for Phil Spencer, if he really doesn't a final say on what Xbox does now, would he be better just walking away from the job then been a glorified mouthpiece to his bosses?

Re: Hands On: They're Rough Around the Edges, But It's Awesome to Have PS2 Games Back on PS5, PS4

I wonder if there's some complexity with integrating the emulation onto consoles. It's all well and good saying on PC it can do "4k 60fps" but PC can brute force that. On console it not only has to run at least at it's base performances but it also has to have the console's features such as trophies, quick resume, take screenshots, remote play and share play. All that could add unknown complexities to the conversion.
