It only took me 3 or 4 attempts to take down the boss for the first time, so I didn't have too much trouble with The Club, but I'm guessing that most people are having a problem simply because the game never really emphasizes the importance of using the avoid mechanic with L1 and the Left Stick as opposed to dodges and parries, probably giving the impression that they're all equally viable ways of defending yourself, when that simply isn't the case.
Other than that the only thing I can think of is that maybe people are focusing on other perks rather than unlocking their second focus bar asap. Because that thing is a life saver if you don't have the skills to avoid everything he throws at you. When I added the second one, my age when beating the level fell from 38 to 28, and all the way down to 20 on my first run with all 3.
@Uoman When it comes to the high scores accompanying so much criticism, I think people are misreading what the reviewers are being critical of. From most of those reviews I looked at, they're not saying the game is mediocre or underwhelming. They're saying that it makes them feel uncomfortable or even outraged by the things that the game forces you to do.
And being uncomfortable or unhappy with the game's narrative isn't a legitimate reason to start lowering review scores as long as the quality is there, and the rest of the game holds up.
As for the holes in the story... I'd like to see a list of story-driven action/adventure games that aren't full of them.
Does it really matter? As long as people aren't being sold something that gives them an edge in a game.... any idiot dumb enough to do it could dump 20 grand on an avatar for all I care.

Re: PSN Download Speed Restricted in EU and US, Sony Confirms
I can't speak for everyone, but if losing some download speed means that more people will have access to the service, then I'm all for it.
If people don't start keeping their asses at home, and taking this sh¡t seriously, we're still gonna be fighting this thing six months from now.
