I would love a first person Indi game focused on platforming, exploration and puzzles. Sadly all the previews showed that it focuses on stealth and human enemies. Oh well, I hope that people will get some enjoyment out of it.
@Kidfunkadelic83 Already seen all endings and got the platinum, now I'll just try to get as far as possible on hard without ng+ bonuses, that gotta be brutal.
@Dodoo depends on the course. If it's off road or race with lots of twists and turns then everything's fine. If it's broad highways then yeah, AI overtakes you and not much you can do. But you can simply leave nitro on, I just personally dislike it.
@Dodoo nonexistent, one of the most fair racing games that I ever played. My only issue that when you turn off nitro in difficulty settings, it turns off only for you, not the opponents.
I simply adore Ghostwire: Tokyo. It's far from perfect, as a shooter it's very basic, enemy variety is nonexistent and main story, as kids say, is nothingburger. But sidequests are great! Do you have a favourite urban legend or horror trope? It will be there. I desperately wanted a sequel, something like Ghostwire Kyoto, which would keep the strong aspects and improve the weak, but first Microsoft happened, and then Hi-Fi Rush happened, which now everybody associates with the studio. (I found it boring as f-k). Oh well, maybe I'll just replay this game on hard.
Don't really have a horse in this race since I pretty much stopped playing western games, but "Best Bioware game since Mass Effect 3" is a very low bar.
Already played closed beta on PC. Bad: no controller support whatsoever, playing platformer with keyboard is akin to torture. Good: I got paid for beta testing, not the other way around.
Oh boy, I'm totally in minority on this, but I really hate that since Yakuza 0 found success in the west, everyone associats the franchise with goofy sh*t (and retconed Majima). I always loved that humor stayed in the side quest and the main plot was epic serious crime drama. But now everyone expects clownage everywhere and creators know that. Once LaD was one of my favourite series and I prayed for the translation of the new games. Now monkey paw granted my wish and I'll be skipping that pirate embarrassment. Peace, enjoy the games.
Only played it at a friend's house back in a day, never managed to get a copy myself. Totally will get this one, I love 3D platformers and there are too few of them now.
It's scary what Sony 1st party studios have become. Naughty Dog might as well be renamed in Last of Us studio, Insomniac in Marvel, Guerilla in Horizon. I look forward to Ghost of Yotei, but really wish Sucker Punch would do something different after it.
It was great on a technical level, looked and played nice, but writing took a huge hit. It was like developers thought "the first game was too mature, let's add some dumb ***** for kiddies". And boy they did. And not to mention Peter's new face. When he was on a date with MJ it looked like sugar mommy was walking her baby.
Among my favourite games there are exactly zero western games with enormous budgets and workforce, and that won't change any time soon. You can keep your godofwars and lastsofus, I'm happy with just AA rpgs from Gust and Falcom.
It may be the finest remake in the world, but for me the best thing about Silent Hill 2 is the story and plot twists. And I already know all of them. So yeah, this just isn't for me.

Even if I won't like the game when it releases I will still have nothing but respect for developers.

Yes, award shiws are worthless. American shows even more so.

Never played Blood Omen 2 so I'm exited to try it. Though I played Defiance and I wish I didn't.

This year had way too many great games, but Stellar Blade is still my personal GOTY.
Re: Square Enix's New AAA Games Are Being Trounced by Final Fantasy 14
When I pay for FFXIV, I'd rather have that money go to FFXIX, not to Forspoken and FFVII fanfiction.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Monster Hunter Wilds Beta?
Wasn't unexpected, but still it's a shame that the game doesn't work on steam deck. Monster Hunter will always be portable franchise for me.

Ok, now I have a third game to look forward to in 2025. But why the main character's face is blurred like genitals in hentai?
