@4fold I genuinely think that the steam machine has really pi$$ed on Microsoft's chips here. I jumped from XSX to PS5 a couple of years back but if I hadn't, I'd be seriously considering steam machine over anything else...

not read all the comments but agree with the first bunch that I read, for the first time since gaming on my spectrum in the early 80's, I have no interest in a newer console. it feels like tech has plateaued, to the point you need DF videos to identify differences between versions of games.

the only disappointment, if true, is it means a delay to a handheld that plays PS4 and 5 games natively... I'd love that, I have such a library and backlog, that and my ps5 would probably do me for the rest of my days, haha!!!

@PuppetMaster as somebody who grew up with sega arcade games and all 4 consoles, I've long since given up any hope of sega ever ever doing anything like this. I've moved on, but still annoys me!!

I always preferred sega arcade games, so my astro city mini scratches the itch

genuinely angers me why sega won't just release all their newer arcade games (the yakuza ones!) in a collection

@Oram77 of course not, but they don't automatically drop a game to a 6/10 for me, that's all. im replaying Skyrim, had a second hard crash to menu today, at a very annoying time. still a 10/10 game for me.

this had my attention, and will grab for switch as that's where I play my Indies! gutted that cloverpit seems to be an xbox console exclusive though

Surely this is a response to the next Xbox being able to play steam games, and therefore Sony games? If Sony launch their own PC launcher, and make that the only way to play PS games on PC (no longer releasing on steam) then the next Xbox 'console' players will no longer be able to access PS games via PC stores?

if xbox make a console, and it has free multiplayer, that's one thing., and I'd expect PS to follow suit... but from all I read, Xbox is releasing a super expensive PC in disguise, so no different to any other PC... that isn't comparing apples with apples.

I'd assume / hope they charge a similar price to Gears reloaded, would make buying all 3 games more palatable. Plus, this is MS, it'll be on deep discount pretty soon

As above, it's frustrating this wasn't a trilogy release, BUT I loved the original bungie trilogy on my xbox, so will eat this up...

Be a shame if they don't do the same to Gears 2 & 3 to round out the Marcus Fenix trilogy also.

No interest in the newer, post bungie Halo / post Epic Gears though.

Nope. Unless they do something unexpected and immediately release bangers that are PS6 exclusive, I'll stick with my PS5 for a while longer.

@zhoont boomers are 60 to 80 years old, I doubt many of them play video games

@HonestHick it's funny, I have the opposite experience, with my XSX controller hurting the tendons in my wrists, but PS5 so far no similar issues. A shame there aren't more size and design options for both controllers, instead of just different colour options!

There aren't many things that I think xbox does much much better than PS, but limited edition controller designs is something I think they do much better. The PS designs are just so bland to me...

I've been wanting this for so long now!! Grew up on Sega arcades and owned all 4 consoles as a kid.

Whilst there are licensing issues with a lot of these titles, there is no reason that a collection couldn't include

• all the titles emulated in the Yakuza games
• all the titles that received SEGA AGES ports to the Switch
• all the titles on the Astro City mini

But it'll never happen. This is Sega.

As a Sega nut growing up, it saddens me a little that Sega have discarded so many of their earlier characters. I know they never reached Mario or Sonic levels of fame, but the Boy from Wonderboy starred in 3 incredible Master System games.
Is Alex Kidd here? Golden Axe characters? The Space Harrier dude?

I don't expect them all to be in it, but a shame Sega ignores their own history in favour of random, totally un-related franchises.

Sonic All Star racing was a cracking game, and whilst lacking a bunch of retro characters, at least had tracks based on Afterburner, Panzer Dragoon, etc. Though I guess that was ALL STARS and this new game is just Sonic. Shame, wish they had leaned more into their history (a la Astro Bot) and made a love letter to Sega.

Got my digital PS5 this time last year from Amazon for £338 (with a bigger hard drive than the new models), so pretty happy with that!

@CVCubbington haha. no. not while private jets fill the sky and china, India, USA, etc don't care about global warming, things like this will make no difference at all.

no idea... I had a Saturn, was a proper Sega boy until they stopped playing. And then went N64. Started with Spectrum 48k+

Had a PS2, purely because of Gran Turismo blowing my socks off, but then nothing Sony til my PS5.

Still absolutely love my PS5, and with my fairly new OLED TV, more than happy with my lot. As long as PS6 games are still released on PS6, don't think I'll be in a rush to upgrade.
