"Capgod"....100k facepalm. Japan really dont like these genres of games. Not even the one from platinum sells. These numbers is not excellent, just mediocre. Look at KH and RE, easily topped 300 - 500k within similarly on the first 2 - 3 days.

@TerrorByte its already off the top spot of the charts. If it had surpassed 10mil, there would definitely be an official report on it but there's none. Up to date im guessing 8-9 mil.

A game that lacks contents, reuse assets, no story, copy and paste a few buncha maps like Bf5, blackops 4, battlefront 2, Fifa and it almost effortlessly sold 7-9 million WW rising to the top of the charts........ easy money and easy mockery off those singleplayer games. Look at the charts, Anthem already outsold GOW in japan, in the first week, nice work modern day gamers.
EA is right btw. It took 2 YEARS for HZD which is a game filled to the brim with contents to hit 10 million WW. While BF 5 a half assed game despite all the controversy surrounding it, topped 7million WW in like 3 - 5 Months?? Dont even mention FIFa........
Id say Single player games are dead not because EA exists but thanks to Some Kind of Gamers out there who are dumb AF. I wont be surprised if Anthem cracked 10 mill +++ in less than a year while EA is sobbing how low sales they had gotten all while GOW was already forgotten....
If it sells who cares if the games are lacklustre. Of course, note to all gamers stand up, go and cause a ruckus, create a backlash...in the end, you buy the game aaanywaay....................
Japanese only buys nintendo for 2 IPs. Mario and Pokemon. No matter how bad the game so long as MARIO / PikAchu is in the name, it sells for some reason. Look at 2018....its Mario Infested. Toad / Mario tennis/ party/ DK/ Smash Bros / Mario U Deluxe. These games are as cheap as mobile titles in content but charged at full price......Game companies knew the gaming market in japan is a Lost cause, no wonder Sony shifted their HQ.
Bring whatever 3rd party titles to N.switch it almost never sells.Even RDR2 is gonna flop hard on Nintendo. Capcom / Square Enix saw this and made the wisest decision not to put their game on Nintendo. they earned themselves a Bank full of profits. They're the only 2 relevant game companies left in japan.
After all that controvesy, still 7 million people bought the game. If that how it is, then stop saying EA is the worst and stop bashing them in the very first place!! Stop it with the gaming backlash like diablo immortal / Fallout 76.....
Battlefront 2 is a genuine great game.Fallout 76 is not as bad as you think there is FUN to be had in the game at least better than most 2018 Nintendo titles.
And Capcom did ONE thing right for the past years and that's to Not put their games on a Nintendo port'n'flop machine. Capcom has earned back my trust, and i am looking forward to games developed by them.
