I love my Vita just for the Japanese games we are getting. It's amazing, really. Just the 200+ hours I put on Persona 4 Golden was well worth my money. And there are games like Freedom Wars, and a bunch of JRPGs coming.
The Vita has a GREAT library of games IMHO.
I don't care much about Western developers, and that includes indies. But I guess they would appeal to a wider audience, so it's a shame we are losing third-party support, just like the Wii U.
@DaftPlayStation I don't care about indies, really. And I am honestly getting tired of them. Every week there are a bunch of new indie games coming out.
Hey, if you like indies the PS4 is just for you. We may as well start calling it PlayIndie 4. As for me, I'm just sticking with my PS3 until there's a game that justifies my purchase.
I hope we get some news on Persona 5. As for the PS4, they'd better have something up their sleeves. I won't get a new console just to play shooters and indies. How about a release date for Final Fantasy XV?
I really want this game (just look at my avatar...), but I wonder if the Taiwanese version will actually include English as an option. I'd rather not get a digital copy if I can help it.
I did get the third game for my Wii U because it was cheap enough, but I just couldn't get into it. Maybe it's just me. Then again, I had a hard time knowing what was actually happening in the game.
@Subie98 No one is forcing you to buy a Vita, right? Thing is, Japan loves handhelds, and a lot games are coming only to 3DS and Vita. So yes, you're missing a lot if you like Japanese localizations.
I personally just like games, regardless of platform.
I was surprised to see this being localized. It gives me hope of seeing J-Stars in the West as well. As for the game itself, I'm not particularly familiar with the manga, but I guess it looks fun enough.
I'm not particularly interested in the Vita TV (I'd rather play Vita games on the handheld), but I think Sony still has the advantage here... Playing crappy smartphone games on the big screen doesn't appeal to me at all, while the Vita has a GREAT selection of real games.
It clearly deserves a 10 IMO. It's perfect to play on a handheld, even though I have played it on PS3 already. I was surprised that there was no news here of the localization of F2nd. It was announced a week ago.
I don't like the idea of renting games with PS Plus, so count me out, I'm canceling my subscription this year. I'd rather own a game that I really want to play. And I can play it for years to come. No need to keep paying Sony just to be able to do something that should be taken for granted.
Besides, most games on Plus are cheap enough if you want to get a physical copy. Oh, and I don't care about indies.
I really like the setting of this game. I mean... In Monster Hunter you're basically a hunter (duh) slaying monsters to kill your time, there's virtually no story at all and your character is quite bland. But in this you're supposed to be fighting for a purpose, there's a story to back you up, and the characters look great. So yes, I'm really excited with this game and hope it comes to the West soon.
@JaxonH Right? I love my Vita and Wii U just as much as my PS3 and 3DS!
I'm particularly in love with my Vita for the love it's getting from Japan right now.
There's just so much Japanese content to move PS4 sales. I don't feel compelled to get a PS4 myself, because I mostly play Japanese games and Japanese developers are still focusing on PS3. That's the same reason why Xbox doesn't sell in Japan. You can't expect to make a profit there with just western content.
I'm sure that once Japanese developers start making good games for the PS4, it will sell much better, and by the time it does I can justify my purchase.
I don't know, really. I think the way we play games with a controller is just right. We don't need any more gimmicks. Maybe if we got something like the Nerve Gear in SAO I would be interested, but as of now VR is but a gimmick, no different from motion control.
Even then I don't want to change the way I play games anytime soon.
I have it on PS3 and it looks good enough for me. I doubt Rockstar will miss the chance of moving a few million units just by porting the game, though.
I hope it keeps selling in Japan. By the time Japanese developers start taking notice of the PS4 I will be able to justify my purchase. I'm still doing just fine with my PS3.
It's nice overall, but I'm done renting games with PS+. I'd rather own a physical game if I really want it. I'm probably not renewing my subscription this year.
Funny fact is that most games I got with Plus didn't interest me. Either that or it was a game I owned already. I'm tired of all those shooters and most western games overall. I did enjoy Tomb Raider, but then again I own it already...
2015 can't come sooner. I want this NOW. Still, I'm glad Atlus is doing just fine even after being acquired by the likes of Sega. I mean... aside from Sonic and Miku, Sega has pretty much forgotten that the western exists. I hope that never happens to Atlus.

Re: Out This Week: Soul Sacrifice Delta, Borderlands 2 Vita, Minecraft
@get2sammyb That's too bad, but I'm still getting it. I have plenty of space on 16 GB memory card after canceling my Plus subscription anyway.
I'm still supporting digital-only releases of niche titles, just like I did with Hatsune Miku. It's better than not having them localized at all.
Re: Out This Week: Soul Sacrifice Delta, Borderlands 2 Vita, Minecraft
There's no physical release for Soul Sacrifice Delta?

Re: Review: Hakuoki: Stories of the Shinsengumi (PlayStation 3)
I was bored to death with the anime, so I guess I should stay away from the game.
Re: PS4's First Japanese RPG Will See You Fight Evil by Dancing to Catchy Songs
Now THAT is what I'm talking about. Keep the Japanese games coming and I will be compelled to buy a new console.
I can't imagine how awesome it would be to play a Tales game on PS4.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 26
I'm studying this weekend.
Re: PS4's Next Call of Duty Game Will Be Disclosed on Sunday
Great, another one...
Haven't people grown tired of COD yet?
Re: Sony Just Revealed More PS4 Games Than We Have Time to Talk About
@DaftPlayStation I don't care about indies, really. And I am honestly getting tired of them. Every week there are a bunch of new indie games coming out.
Maybe I'll get a PS4 when we have a killer JPRG.

Re: This Freedom Wars Footage Raises Plenty of Questions
This also reminds me of Shingeki no Kyoujin! It looks so good. Day one purchase for sure.
Re: PS4 Racer DriveClub to Be Re-Revealed in the Weeks Leading Up to E3
I wonder if this game will have a single player mode? From what I have seen, it looks like you need to be online to play.
Re: PS4 Executive Shuhei Yoshida Planning 'Very, Very Exciting' E3

Re: Japan Keeps on Giving as Tales of Hearts R is Confirmed for a Western Vita Release
The Vita is turning into a heaven for Japanese localizations, more so than the 3DS.

Re: PS4 Racer The Crew Is Going to Drive Away with Your Wallet
Anything that requires me to have an internet connection to play is a no-no.
I don't want to have a useless game 4 years from now.
Re: PS4's Enormous 2014 Lineup Looks Even Better in Video Form
This is nice if you like indies and shooters. But I can't justify a PS4 just yet. Most games I want are coming only to PS3.
Re: Talking Point: Has Sony's Dithering Turned Off PS Vita TV's Chances?

Re: Could Soul Sacrifice Delta Be Arriving Overseas Soon?
Hopefully there will be a Western release soon.
Re: Persona 4 Goes for Gold on the PlayStation 3
P4 is the best game ever made. It is just perfect in every sense.
I have it on my Vita, but I may get this just to play the game on the big screen.

Re: Review: Tales of Symphonia Chronicles (PlayStation 3)
Being a JRPG fan, this is a must for me. I loved Tales of Graces F and started playing Xillia just last month.

Re: Guide: Slaying for Beginners in Toukiden: The Age of Demons on PS Vita
You aren't making things easy for me, are you? I really want this now. It's just what my Vita needs once I finish my second playthrough of Persona 4.

I love you, Atlus! So all four Persona games announced in Japan last year are being localized. I can't wait.
@rastamadeus You're not alone there, I pretty much share your feelings about Rise...
