@Youreforthim My problem with the Pro is a lack of killer apps. This generation has been a real disappointment for me, especially when it comes to PS5 exclusive games. Why bother with getting the most powerful game console when there's hardly any games I care about that really take advantage of it in a noticeable way?

What's the point of this when the Pro exists? If I'm buying another PS5 it's going to be a Pro or I'm just sticking with my original PS5. I got the black covers on it anyways so I think it looks good (for a PS5). As much as I like the anniversary look a "slim" is not worth buying by this point. I wasn't going to go out of my way or pay a premium for a Pro either, just don't see the need right now.

@ShogunRok That's a big reason why I am fine with skipping a PS5 Pro. What good is the most powerful console if there's no games I want that really take advantage of it?

Sadly that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this game's problems.

One of those things where I can take one look at it and already know I'm not interested.

PS5 Pro isn't even out yet and they are already starting in on the PS6 rumors and hype lol

@NEStalgia Yeah I have been going to these sites for a long time now and I could see a big change over the years for the worse.

I highly doubt it. PS4 Pro managed to cash in on the demand for an early 4K capable console. Considering how the PS5 is already a good 4K console a PS5 Pro is going to be a much harder sale. That and the PS4 Pro wasn't $700 and it also included a disc drive.

I wonder how much of that is simply scalpers trying to cash-in on a PS5 Pro disc drive demand.

$600 with a disc drive included I would have been strongly considering buying one.

Sure, all these games can be instantly added to your "collection" but they will also be instantly removed the second you stop paying for the subscription or if your internet goes down.

They are really trying to milk this franchise for every cent it's worth. It peaked with Borderlands 2.

So this is a new entry, not another DLC? Kind of confusing how they titled it.

Releasing a PS4-only game right now seems like an odd choice.

We can't get a new Twisted Metal but we are getting more Horizon and Aloy. Oh... great... now excuse me while I fall asleep.

It is a good example of everything that is wrong with today's video game industry.

Pretty excused about this one, hopefully it lives up to past TDU titles.

I was very impressed by the demo, HUGE improvement over Tekken 7, a return to form.

Finally decided to buy Monster Energy Supercross 6 while it's still on sale. Glad I did, definitely a worthwhile improvement over MES5 and probably the best game in the series since 3.

@Vriess Yeah Premium has been very disappointing for me, I hardly play anything on it that I couldn't get with Plus Extra. I think Ape Escape is the only PS1 game I really like to play out of the bunch, and that is a game I could just buy if I wanted. I guess their selection of JRPG's isn't bad if that's your thing, but it's not really my thing.

Well it's a pretty terrible collection so no loss really.

@trev666 Yeah I'm the same way. I just don't have the time or patience these days to put up with games that are off-putting in their difficulty. It's basically one of the worst things a game can do IMO, forcing me to play something that feels way too hard.

But why? Their recent decisions have been terrible and there is nothing in the way of new killer exclusives right now.

@EfYI Yeah Death Stranding was a game I tried to get into, and wanted to get into, but I just couldn't. The story and explanation behind everything was too weird, and I just couldn't connect to it. That and the gameplay was basically hiking delivery boy simulator. I know you can eventually do more later, but it takes so much time to get there I just couldn't be bothered.

@Grimwood I have to say, for a platform where the fanbase used exclusive titles as the be-all end-all talking point, it's been really lacking in great exclusives. Like you said, I can only think of a couple that have stood out to me.

I think the dualsense triggers are by far it's best selling point, they definitely make racing games and FPS more immersive for me.

Out of all the products that I wouldn't want, this is probably near the top.

Wish they would have made this an actual console, because it's pretty much useless to me the way it is.

I'd rather just spend the money on a new retro gaming handheld.

The first #Drive was just a mobile phone game from what I could tell.

@The_Pixel_King Yeah same here. This looks like a nice improvement over the old WRC games, but I can wait for it to get patched up some more. Makes sense how this wouldn't be perfect on day one though, being a completely new game for Codemasters that has never been done before.

I was hugely disappointed with the last COD, no way I was going to buy this one.

I feel like Mafia 2 is the type of game where if you had any interest in it you would have bought it by now. The rest are just whatever.

@Shad361 I think that's more of a focus on a fanbase than the casual audience.

@Shad361 Then again I'd say their biggest problem is a lack of diversity among their lineup. Most of their games so far have been very similar in terms of genre and approach.

Played this game during the free 10 hour trial weekend offer they had recently on Xbox, as a fan of Diablo 3, I wasn't sold on it.

Now this is the sort of odd niche interest thing I can get into lol, always loved train simulation games for some reason.

Funny, this is exactly the sort of thing that made PS fans passionately hate Xbox for the past decade.

@johncalmc That kinda sums up the industry for me lately.

Cool, might as well just end the franchise I guess, it has gotten very stale and repetitive after Far Cry 3, with every sequel basically copying that formula only becoming increasingly uninspired.

Funny enough this latest attempt at doing something different only sounds lazier.

@Broosh Yup, this isn't the Sony I grew up with, that's for sure. Can hardly recognize Playstation anymore.
