Re: Talking Point: What Are Your PS5 New Year's Resolutions?

Judal27

Tbh i was already working on this at the end of last year, but for this year and probably beyond, i basically just wanna add and remove games into my rotation based on what I'm feeling at the moment. If I start up an rpg and the next day I feel like playing another rpg. I'll do that instead of thinking I should finish the 1st rpg before starting the 2nd. If some days after, I get a platformer itch, I'll just start playing it, etc. There's just too many games not enough time haha

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 614

Judal27

Am now fully in a multiplayer mood so the 2 games I'll mostly be playing are mp games. I think I've finished all of the standard bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign. So gonna be doing some of those repeat fights that seem like they're gonna be harder versions of them and I'll try out that endless night one too. Very fun game

And I finally got Arc Raiders. Still early and I think I'll enjoy this one a lot more further on but rn at the start, it's very confusing. Most of my matches have been just hoarding a bunch of stuff I have no idea if it's useful or not, then dying near the end at the elevator and losing it all plus my guns. That parts not fun lol. But I'm slowly learning my way around the game. Gonna continue on

Re: Fans Can't Believe How Much Sword and Fairy 4's Remake Looks Like Clair Obscur

Judal27

I don't think it looks that much like clair obscur at all. It's just one of the very few of its kind to do graphics above that of your average turn based jrpg so it ends up looking similar to like the only other one out there

But also that expressionless face at 2:53 lol. That didn't seem like a calm stoic face but more like they didn't give the character model an expression during what looked like an all out attack 😂

Re: Game of the Year: Best PS5 Action Game of 2025

Judal27

Enjoyed Wilds and am enjoying Nightreign despite both having disappointing aspects to them. They're still a ton of fun. I might have to go with Nightreign as my best action game cause I get that one more run feeling

Re: Game of the Year: #7 - Lumines Arise

Judal27

I tried to get into it with the demo but just don't understand how it works. It's enjoyable enough solo I guess but I get smoked online. Great music tho

With the way this list is going perhaps we could see monster hunter wilds make it in which I wouldn't even mind 👀

Re: Game of the Year: #8 - Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Judal27

@DennisReynolds oh if it has life sim elements I could see how someone would get addicted to the gameplay loop. But yea I was thinking these quests have to be crazy good for you to want to do, what looks like, skyrim type of combat for hrs against mostly humans

Re: Game of the Year: #10 - Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

Judal27

It should be way higher imo but I actually didn't expect it to be on the list at all lmao. Its been my go to multiplayer game, but sometimes I find myself only playing it all day to the detriment of my backlog 😩. But it's genuinely just a fun kart racing game

Re: Game of the Year: Aaron's Top 5 PS5 Games of 2025

Judal27

Honestly I'm looking forward to playing arc raiders next after I just recently bought and played elden ring night reign. It's been super fun planning out the route we'll go to kill some bosses and get stronger along the way till we reach the 3rd day

Re: Poll: What Are Your Most Anticipated PS5 Games of 2026?

Judal27

Nioh 3 easily of what's already announced and it's coming very early 2026 so who knows what else the year has in store. After that I picked the lego batman game just cuz an arkham style lego batman could be seriously fun. Then MH Stories 3, code vein 2, and phantom blade

Re: Key Square Enix Shareholder Publicly Criticises Weak Game Sales, Company Management

Judal27

I mean one of their comparisons is DQ3 remake doing worse than 11, when 11 did its 7 million sales lifetime over years while 3 remake did its 2 million within like some months. So it can still grow altho releasing 1&2 so soon could affect both tbh. They also claim rebirth cost less to make than remake and XVIs dev cost is honestly so reasonably small I have no idea how that couldn't be considered a success. It's just such a weird, inconsistent and kinda unbelievable presentation

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 610

Judal27

Continuing on Tales of Graces F, the game has opened up a lot now with plenty of events and side stuff to find in older areas. I love the writing and combat so it's been fun exploring every single thing

And I also restarted Sonic Frontiers. When i 1st played this I wasn't really in the mood to play games, so I think it negatively affected my view on the game and also never finished it. But on this 2nd try, things are going so differently I'm shocked lol. It's such a wonderful game. I adore all the mini platforming segments sprawling around this open free zone to run around in when i used to think they were randomly thrown all around the map with no rhythm. And it helps that sonic actually feels great to control. I remember feeling like it had some jank to it but this time I don't feel it at all. Great music as usual, tons of collectibles, fun open areas to explore. Stages are short but sweet. Combat has also been fun with plenty of options. Easily one of my favorite modern Sonic games

Re: Talking Point: Does PS5 Have a Sequel Problem?

Judal27

Anybody complaining about sequels feeling samey or just that they exist in general must not have liked the previous installment in the 1st place. No Sony does not have a sequel problem and they sure as hell aren't the only one making iterative sequels lol

Re: Poll: Five Years of PS5 - How Would You Rate Sony's Console?

Judal27

The console itself is amazing, I have had 0 issues with it like I did with a ps3 and 4. It's super fast and responsive. 3rd party software has been amazing, 1st party has been awful. And any accessories or extra attachments/enhancements/revisions have been dreadful especially in price

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 608

Judal27

Still going thru Tales of Graces F, am on chapter 5. It's working its way up so fast into my top 5 Tales of games already. I don't think combat is particularly special, neither better or worse than most other games in the series but it's as fun as ever. Easily one of my favorite cast of characters and the story is so good

Re: Talking Point: The Game Awards 2025 Nominations Announced: Who Are Your Winners?

Judal27

Yooo my goat sonic crossworlds got 2 noms! Too bad it's unlikely to win cause those are usually the nintendo pity prizes lol

I can't really say much of the goty noms cause I've only played e33 and I don't really consider it my goty lol. I guess it's weird that kcd2 game is in, it kinda felt like it came and went tbh. As for e33, I hope it wins best score, but it definitely does not deserve best narrative

Re: Here's Your First Look at Sony's Zelda Movie, Film Shots Revealed

Judal27

@TruestoryYep not a fan of how they did open world for Zelda, and much less a fan of how they did both the remake of LA and Zeldas 1st-ish outing and the ugly toy graphics they used for both. So that really only left me the Skyward Sword remaster which was amazing. So I'd definitely say it was less than stellar

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 607

Judal27

Finished Kirby and the Forgotten Land. There are fun great moments but then there are some stages that tend to be overly long but the gameplay is too repetitive for that. So it tends to drag. It's also kinda too easy, only the true final boss poses any real challenge. But abilities are awesome to use, and it has a neat variety of little things to do which I like

And I also started up Tales of Graces F. Been wanting to play this one forever and it does not disappoint. Absolutely love the characters and the dialogue. Story starts off pretty troupey but there's never a dull moment yet at least. And the style of the game is gorgeous

Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?

Judal27

It's a threat the same way pc in general is. I don't think it's gonna actually do much if it's not priced accordingly and isn't promoted like a regular console is. If they sell it the way they sell steam decks it's guaranteed to not warrant such an article in the 1st place
