@JJ2 I see your point, and I hope you're right. Possibly releasing an exclusive for 6 months or so and then releasing it on other platforms might be the way to go also. Just as long as the gaming community gets access to most games eventually, I dont really care how they do it I would happily subscribe to an xbox streaming service if that became available without having to fork out for another console.
The whole idea of exclusive games seems a bit ridiculous to me. I've been a PS player since the PS3 and have invested too much in that to switch to XBox now. I imagine that unless you can afford to buy both consoles, most of us are in similar position. Exclusive games just seem like a bad buisiness idea. Very few of us are willing or able to swap consoles now. So making a game exclusive just ends up cutting off a large percentage of the gaming market....
