Seriously what is the obsession with live service chasing. Few ever get the success companies dream of and the rest burns tens and hundreds millions of dollars. Sony has burned billions between Bungie, FireWalk and Haven as well as the other projects
Listening to a podcast now. Guy says he likes it like an 8-8.5 but wouldnt recommend it as there are alot more of these that are way better. Also says he skips all the dialogue cause its bad. If you are giving it a 8.5 it shouldnt be a game where you say, there are tons of better similar new games out and you skips half the point of these games. Remaster the first 2 for PS
Sony: We need more IPs
Sony: lets sell off an IP
Not sure if its for the relationship with Kojima towards Physiant or what but Playstation continues down a weird path. Not that they are going anywhere for now but i dont want them crying when engagement and players in their ecosystem drop.
Ps: begin the cries for it to be on Gamepass even though is $20 right now lol
Funny cause i dont think critic scores mean anything. They are attacking anyone with any kind of negative look on the game like skillup and mrmattyplays who dont even bring up the politic points as causes for poor score. Decide what u want but in no way should these publications be implying it should be in GOTY discussion
I mean the number is gonna continue to escalate. So much focus on live service still resulting in total money sinks. Then Single player wise EU and NA studios are really pushing away alot of players in dropping quality and offputting naratives/characters etc. we have yet to see the Ubiosft cuts yet in full which are gonna be alot
@RBMango exactly. Temporary growth means nothing if they are only in for a month and dip. Like Starfield last year, it makes no beneficial change when subscribers spike for one month paying $17-$20 rather than them buying for $70
Pc growth for GP stagnated. Literally no growth on console without shifting units which they are not. Majority of people who actively use xbox and played Cod before already had gamepass or will upgrade from a lower level for no growth.
With Satya eying this release up and seeing Playstation trying to save this game from financial ruin, only more reason to go full send into 3rd party territory
Bold to Assume Bioware survives this release in todays industry of closure news. Whether good or not and sells or not could be a Square Enix didnt meet expectations nonetheless
I would go 8.5. Its missing the flair and style that Persona 5 had and personally think character designs no bad but again weaker than Persona 5 greatness. Might play in spurts over time and maybe throw in a second game while playing it 15 hrs in
The Series X console is a fine console, S is underpowered. I just prefer Playstation.
Highly praise xbox for back compatibility which i frequently use. Sadly their news games are unappealing and or extremely underwhelming on release.
Ive had plenty of reward points saved up and really havent spent anything on software on xbox for years with my OG/360/one game in place. Sure there are many like me as well and the low spend of players on xbox definitely making it harder and harder for games to launch there
Dead island 2 is exact game i was just waiting for to hit the service. Wasnt gonna. Uy for its $35-$40 sale price. I ll definitely be checking out dino crisis
Just dont see how selling 30,000 copies over time is worth the squeeze on these things. They will port this to PC but wont spend the resources to port remaster the PS3 trilogies to modern hardware
Not going in on particular details but some at Ubisoft were aggressively stating how accurate their history of Japan was. If it was so accurate why are the flipping the switch now 🤔
Understand inflation but sony needs to aleast price to a break even point. They dont seem like they want to lose a cent on a sold machine and instead want to profit on hardware now. Switch still like $200-$300 and is their preferred handheld
Same exact games as games of old, very bland and not revolutionary like they were when ubisoft was big. They discount games so quick that people train to not buy right away as well. Add in the character and frankly Star wars is unappealing to many. We saw how expensive licensing can be with spiderman and wolverine leaks. This is gonna hurt them badly

Still interested but this has always been a game for a deep sale
Re: Dragon Age PS5 Remaster Collection Is Unlikely, But 'Never Say Never'
Well the current developers at Bioware probably hate the game so no surprise there. Thats origins and 2 are the only ones of interest

Re: UK Sales Charts: Call of Duty Remains Steady on PS5, PS4 Despite Black Ops 6's Xbox Game Pass Inclusion
-50% on xbox year on year and just physical. I imagine most on console use gamepass so that could be much more damaging as well

Re: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Web Swings to PC in January 2025
I’m waiting for Sony also to only charge like $50 for the pc port. Future releases may just wait for deeper sales.
Also is Nixes, Insomniac and Asobi the only studios working?
Re: Spider-Man 2 Won't Receive Any PS5 Story DLC
Well whatever it was an underwhelming sequel anyway. Astro bot was great but there future slate looking less and less appealing

Just port Halo MCC. With who is leading the project today, the series will continue to be butchered.
Re: Random: Internet Trolls Tried to Downgrade Our Silent Hill 2 PS5 Review Score
Everything about the game looks good. Sadly for it, its JRPG month for me and wont be getting to it anytime soon. Itll be a 2025 game for me
Re: Tencent, Guillemot Family Reportedly Considering Ubisoft Buyout
@somnambulance
You’re still buying their games? Save the money
Re: Tencent, Guillemot Family Reportedly Considering Ubisoft Buyout
Ubisoft needs to be cut in half atleast they have way too many people.
Games have continued getting worse and worse and this year in particular just undesirable to play. They are a sinking ship
Can’t wait for xbox podcast like defining Duke tho to say xbox should buy them lol.
Re: Saber Interactive Partners with Paramount on Biggest Avatar Game in Franchise History
They said this before and then the Game Mill Avatar game came out lol
Re: Crickets as Suicide Squad Endures Another Muted Launch
How much content did they promise? Once that is fulfilled bye bye Rocksteady
Re: Report Finds Lack of Star Wars Outlaws Sales Disturbing
Small edit, taking Disney put the equation, its $49 million not $70 million due to Platform holder’s 30% standard.
Also just following industry’s advice. Don’t like it don’t buy it.
Seriously, Disney has butchered Star Wars Ip. Its relevance is also dead now

Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Delayed on PS5 Until 14th February
Already 4 more notable games for February as of now. This game is still screwed.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Feb 11
Avowed Feb 18
Monster Hunter Wilds Feb 28
Like a dragon Pirate Yakuza Feb 28
Re: Ubisoft 'Fully Mobilised' After Soft Star Wars Outlaws PS5 Sales
I remember the media was saying Outlaws sales were through the roof.
Also, outside quality, gamers are trained more than ever to not buy day 1 as they are always discounted extremely quickly.
Re: Ubisoft Backs Out of Tokyo Game Show at Eleventh Hour, Cancels Livestream
Because people in Japan hate this game as many others do. Ubisoft basically took a dump on their culture
