Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake: How to Unlock Hard Mode

@Grindagger Yeah in wall city and the shinra hq you can do battle simulators as much as you like. Gives some good EXP and AP. However when you complete all AP and EXP gained from battle is increased on any difficulty. It's a challenge but not that difficult. I think the biggest issue is the amount of enemies they throw at you at once. They do this gauntlet style amount that would make Dark Souls cringe, so the difficulty feels more artificial than anything else.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake: How Long To Finish The Game?

It took me just under 40 hours to complete in Normal mode with not much bother or getting lost. This includes all side missions and watching all cut scenes. Playing in hard mode now and it only took me 2 hours to get through the first 6 chapters and collecting everything new because I'm skipping all the cutscenes. Also I feel like a lot of my allocated time was spent in the Shinra Game Padding experience.

@Grindagger The materia seller in Wall City will sell you most of the useful materia and you can buy materia from vending machines. It worth going through the battle reports as well as the character will sell you the best Materia, especially when you unlock EXP up and Gil up materia. You an also get AP Boost Materia in the later chapters which is disguised as a pedometer materia.

@Matroska @Grindagger You can't use items all together. Either in battle or out in hard mode. I'm max level with max materia and I still get my sh*t pushed. The only way to get MP back is by breaking boxes and hope you get an MP shard. The best healing materia to use though is Chakra Materia as it gives you health back and cures poison without using MP. Cure, Cura and Curaga all take far too long and if you get hit when you try to use it, you still lose the MP without actually using it. There is also a good all cure materia called Pray, only downside is that it uses both bars. Upside is that you get it instantly after getting Aerith.
