As long that they get a new life and if it improves the chances of sequels of Freedom Wars, Gravity Rush and especially Wild Arms I'm totally fine with it.

A shame SEGA isn't in that list, they released great games last year.

While Sony is a Japanese company, their games are mostly Western and their gaming division is in California, so I struggle a bit to consider them part that list, but I guess Astro Bot is Sony's biggest success in the PS5 era.

@rpg2000 @PuppetMaster I didn't say Square Enix will stop doing partnerships with Sony, I said they will do less. Obviously they still want to sell on PlayStation but since they want to go a multiplatform approach Square Enix will have to focus on other platforms more as well.

I don't think so.

I do believe Square Enix Will want people to stop see Final Fantasy synonyms to PlayStation and therefore will do less partnerships with Sony now.

Also about the game selling well or not, Square Enix confirmed that FF16 was mostly played by newcomers so most old Final Fantasy fans are distancing themselves from the franchise, which obviously affects the sells.

Persona 4 Rewind.

This is great. Persona 4 is a fantastic game but with the success of Persona 3 Reload it's inevitable. They obviously will also make the game with Persona 5 art style to keep it consistent with 3 and 5.

I like Persona 3 Reload much more than vanilla Persona 3 so I welcome a Persona 4 Remake.

And Persona 1 and 2 needs to happen, but I don't know if they Remake faithfully or will Reimagine the game to give us Social links.

Saw a leak of CrossWorlds where a Sonic Riders Overboard was show, seems like we will get Sonic Riders gameplay in CrossWorlds.

My expectations are so low that is impossible to get disappointed, but I will watch it.

How I wished Final Fantasy XIII was.

Less Cocoon, more Gran Pulse. (Something like 8 to 10 hours Cocoon and 30 hours Gran Pulse were we are discovering many locations and Cities.)

Gran Pulse being bigger than it was. The Archylte Steppe was just a bigger Calm Lands were you are able to move the Camera.

People in Gran Pulse, I hated that Gran Pulse isn't populated with humans. It's so lifeless with only monsters and Robots.

Battle System to be like FFXIII-2 only without the monster catching part.

Level progression not to be limited through chapters. And being able to fully maximise our characters before beating the story.

Being able to use Eidolons as transport.

Mini games during the Gran Pulse part. The Cieth Stone mission became boring very fast.

Caius Ballad being the main villain than the one FFXIII had. He never made sense to me.

@themightyant Yeah it's unfortunate that Sony are focusing less and less on physical. But it's the future we are going.

I already have a PS5 and Astro Bot, but it's sad to see that the console will be bundled with a download voucher instead with a physical copy.

Don't know why people are worried, it's Dragon Quest, there is no way Square Enix would cancel a new mainline game.

It's incredible after a strong year they still don't profit.

But reading the article it's understandable.

Fantastic game, I had played Sonic Generations when it released on PS3 and enjoyed it even though it was too short, but Shadow Generations makes things even better.

It deserves every success it gets.

And I haven't bought the game yet.

Shows that games don't need huge budget to make a profit.

In fact it's possible to make good games with less budget.

Would love new Mega Man Battle Network and Breath of Fire Games.

Please release Wild Arms 4 and 5 and the Legaia games before dropping PS4 releases Sony.

Love this game, one of my favourite JRPGS, it's in my top 5.

I'm wishing for a Remaster and a new game for years. I hope it happens.

I mostly did like Superstars. Only thing I didn't like were the bosses, especially the final ones.

Project Century, Virtua Fighter, Okami Onimusha and Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is what I'm looking forward.

For me Metaphor should have won Goty, but it's nice to see Astro Bot winning it, since I believe the industry needs it.

Great to hear that we are getting an Okami Sequel and that Kamiya returned to Capcom. I hope it ends up great and I believe it will.

Already played both the PS4 and PS5 versions of Sonic Frontiers, but it's great that is now part of the selection.

My Goty is Metaphor ReFantazio. Definitely a fantastic game. Then Sonic X Shadow.
Also love Persona 3 Reload and Unicorn Overlord. Plus Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth.

This is great, Dragon Quest deserves it.

It's only my 8th favourite mainline Final Fantasy, but I wouldn't be opposed to a Remake, even though I would prefer a 3D Remake instead of HD-2D.

@Llamageddon Remasters are just ports with better visuals. Remakes are the same games made from the ground up if they are new games.

There are Remakes I agree being eligible and others not. Remakes like Resident Evil 4 or Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (even though I don't consider it a Remake) are fine being eligible.

But Remakes like Demon's Soul or Shadow of Colossus should not because there is basically no difference compared with the original games.

If Shadow of the Erdtree gets nominated, I will only watch The Game Awards for SEGA announcements. I will skip the GOTY nominations. Only new games should be eligible.

And of course, still no Wild Arms 4 and 5. Instead let's put games to the service that were there before.

Sonic 06 is not the worst Sonic game in the franchise, there are way worse games.

And I would love a Remake, which can fix a lot of things.

Metaphor ReFantazio is the best game of the year for me. Definitely the one that should win GOTY in my opinion. Love the soundtrack

@J-Dubs There are people who don't know that the games aren't connected (save from some direct sequels and prequels) but it doesn't make a difference.

And yes, Final Fantasy has other problems other than the numbers.
